After the runaway success of Tommy Lee Goes To College and Rockstar: Supernova, it just makes all kinds of sense, right? Errrr, maybe third time's the charm? Whichever way you are viewing your glass today, Fox has a new animated series in development called The Life And Times Of Jimmy Jaxx. The show, being helmed by the team behind Blades Of Glory, is loosely based on the many and varied exploits of Lee's life.
As much as I like to blame Lee and his "band" for the destruction of the otherwise solid Rockstar concept, this idea sounds like it has some potential. The jump from Tommy Lee's life to outlandish cartoon isn't a difficult one to make. There should be no shortage of story ideas for the foreseeable future. Personally, I'm holding out hope for the Mick Mars guest spot in the Halloween episode. There's no reason this couldn't get slotted into Fox's Sunday animation block.

The more America watches
Dancing With The Stars the more confirmation there is that athletes encompass infinite amounts of grace. At first glance, Laila Ali has a body meant to beat boxing competitors into a bloody pulp. Last night she also proved that she could knock people out with a mean mambo on last night's episode of
Dancing With The Stars.
She floated effortlessly on the dance floor and made a mambo booty shake that caused an earthquake on the dance floor and took home the high score on last night's
Dancing With the Stars. If you missed it, you can watch her shake it in this clip of TV's Top 5! moment.

I was watching an ad for
The Last Mimzy, a mystically-themed family movie, and I noticed that Rainn Wilson was playing a pretty significant role in it. I was pretty happy that a guy from one of my favorite shows,
The Office, was parlaying the show's success into a movie career. Then I heard that Jenna Fischer had a role in the Will Ferrell / Jon Heder figure-skating comedy
Blades of Glory. It made me wonder: who
else from
The Office has a movie out this year?
Actually, I didn't wonder that. But I had no other good way to set up this

Office player all have movies coming out (Steve Carell has

Arrested Development might be gone -- for now -- but Will Arnett is still basking in the show's afterglow. Last month, Arnett, who played illusionist and ne'er-do-well "Gob" Bluth, was nominated for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on the defunct cult classic. In addition, the 36-year-old actor has been extremely busy shooting a number of different movies, from the Will Ferrell-starring comedy
Blades of Glory to two projects being directed by Bob Odenkirk of
Mr. Show.
The man was so busy, that I only had about twenty minutes to talk to him. But we were able to cover a lot of territory when we spoke, from his Emmy nod, to why he thought
Arrested didn't make it, to the prospect of an
AD movie. And, of course, he was very funny, even rolling with my lame jokes when I dared utter them.

Oh, how I love the Corddry brothers. The most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly contains an interview with Rob and Nate (Nate and Rob). They discuss their comedy beginnings and how it was to have careers cross paths at The Daily Show. It's a rather brief read, but it offers some interesting information. For example, did you know Nate was taught stand-up by The Daily Show's Lewis Black?
