Army Wives: Unchartered Territory

Trevor-Army Wives 08(S02E07) Transition. This whole episode felt like a transition from one place to another. Not really very exciting or interesting, just kind of there.

The big news was Roxie getting The Hump Bar reopened as Betty's Bar and Grill. For Roxie, it was all about the process, which included getting the place fixed up while Trevor is starting to pull away because he's managed to get the General to send him back to his unit in Iraq.

I don't know; Trevor is getting what he wants because he acted inappropriately on the TV show. In real life, he would have been reprimanded. Trevor was really happy about being able to complete his duty, but it's going to be really hard on Roxie. You can see it coming.

Anyway, it was refreshing to see Trevor and Roxie having some fights. They are married, you know.

Attention! Army Wives back in training

Army WivesCynopsis reports that now that the writers' strike is over -- hallelujah! -- Lifetime Television will soon begin production on the second season of Army Wives with episodes scheduled to air in early summer. This is great news for fans of the Lifetime original drama series that was a ratings juggernaut when it premiered last summer. In fact, Army Wives was the most successful series in Lifetime's 23-year history! During its 13-episode run, Army Wives was the highest rated drama on cable among women, establishing new Lifetime marks for an original scripted series. The soapy-drama was scheduled to return in April, but then the writers struck and the show has been in hibernation -- I mean, hiatus -- ever since.

king of the hill(S11E11) As much as I like to poke fun at the "Simpsons already did it" crowd for not realizing that everything has pretty much been done already, I must admit that I sometimes fall into that same mindset a little too easily.

Yes, the Simpsons did do an episode where Homer starts working out and becomes, not unlike Bill does in this episode, about half flabby and half muscular. Coincidentally, that Simpsons episode is actually titled "King of the Hill." However, that particular Simpsons episode was about Homer trying to win Bart's respect, whereas this episode of King of the Hill was about Bill obtaining a body never thought he could have, and becoming so self-centered he pushes all his friends away.

The Simpsons: G.I. (Annoyed Grunt)

simpsons(S18E05)

Homer: I'm not gonna surrender. You've seen what the U.S. Army does to prisoners. How would you like to be stacked naked in a pile with a hillbilly girl pointin' at you and laughin'?

Cletus: That was our last Christmas card.

Homer: Yeah, Marge always loved your cards.

If you missed the premiere of the Simpsons Movie trailer, check it out here. July can't get here soon enough, and being in Minnesota, I mean that in more ways than one.
