Review: Saturday Night Live - January Jones/Black Eyed Peas {TV Squad}

Nov 15th 2009 1:46PM I'm so tired of hearing about how bad Sudeikis's Biden and Armisen's Obama are. Chevy Chase made no attempt whatsoever to sound, or even look, like Gerald Ford, and audiences found it hysterical. They certainly made an attempt to have him look like Biden; as soon as you saw the bad plug scalp cover you knew who it was.

Tracy Morgan talks about old SNL castmates in his new book {TV Squad}

Oct 14th 2009 9:55PM You gotta wonder how big a lip imprint Morgan left on Fey's behind to get the 30 Rock gig. If not for her, he'd still be pushing his idea for a Brian Fellows movie. I love Cheri Oteri and would watch her in anything. Clearly, with Morgan working and Oteri not, talent is not the premiere factor in getting work.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show - One of the best in TV history {TV Squad}

Oct 9th 2009 10:26AM My favorite episode from the entire series came in that season; "Ted Baxter's Famous Broadcasters' School." Seeing Ted and company sing the praises of the school to the lone student who enrolled is absolutely hysterical.

Letterman admits affairs, audience claps {TV Squad}

Oct 2nd 2009 10:33AM As much as I dislike Letterman, I do think he handled the situation well. The audience on the other hand, acted extremely odd. Certainly at the beginning it may have seemed like shtick, but it was clear soon after this was not a joke; and yet they laughed throughout. The funniest part for me was when he said he had sex with staffers, the audience gasped, but 10 seconds later, they were laughing again. Truly bizarre.

The Jay Leno Show: Julia Louis-Dreyfus {TV Squad}

Sep 30th 2009 9:06PM For god's sake, it you don't like Leno, don't read the reviews of his show. What, do you think tvsquad reviewing leno is preventing it from reviewing something else?

Guess what the top two shows were last week {TV Squad}

Sep 30th 2009 6:50PM The death of reality? Maybe, but don't bet on high-priced dramas replacing them. With the economy in the toilet and advertisers looking to scrimp anyway they can, if the networks can't make enough from reality/news shows/and Leno, they'll start turning parts of primetime over to the affiliates.

The Jay Leno Show: Jerry Seinfeld (series premiere) {TV Squad}

Sep 15th 2009 8:17AM As much as I like Jay, I'm still a bit concerned about the longterm viability of his show. One thing that all the Jay haters (jaters?) should keep in mind - if Jay fails, you will not, I repeat, not be seeing any dramas replacing it. NBC will either put on more Datelines or simply turn the hour back over to their affiliates. The cost of dramas is too high, and in this new economy sponsors are not willing to pay the astronomical amounts they paid in the past.

Joan Rivers on longevity, Brooke Shields, and not caring about Johnny Carson {TV Squad}

Sep 10th 2009 9:07PM All these comments about Carson seem to fit in with what Joan was saying. How many people under 30 even know who he was vs. how many under 30 know who she is. If her goal is to continue to relevant in her old age, she has met that challenge.

Leno's new show to feature musical guest mashups {TV Squad}

Aug 30th 2009 1:08PM Yawn, another anti-Leno post. I almost, repeat, almost hope he fails just so you whiners will see what NBC puts in its place. The days of spending millions on shows few people will watch is over. The only thing you'll get in its place will be more Dateline or reality shows.

George W. Bush canceled Reading Rainbow {TV Squad}

Aug 29th 2009 2:56PM I'm sorry I won't be here 2 billion years from now...just as the Earth is ready to explode, someone somewhere will blame it on George W. Bush.
