American Idol: Top 3 Perform {TV Squad}
May 14th 2008 6:53PM @ Tricia: Now there is an appropriate comment. Thank you for being civil (unlike some people). But I digress,.. You're absolutely right, it's a matter of opinion. And while I would agree that what Syesha has sung so far isn't what I would particularly consider my style of music, I think she has it all together. To be fair, I would have said the same about Jordan Sparks last year, but I'm finding her stuff to be pretty good.
But when it comes to David Cook,.. I don't know. I guess I just don't think he holds a candle to previous rockers like Chris Daughtry, so therefore I don't think he's good enough. But as you said,.. personal opinion.

May 14th 2008 4:28PM Margot,..
I'd take offense to your comment, but the fact that you can't spell makes your statement more humorous than threatening.
And relax,.. I just said that I don't get it. I didn't make any personal attacks, so no reason to have an aneurysm.
American Idol: Top 3 Perform {TV Squad}
May 14th 2008 12:08AM I just don't get it!
What the heck is it with David Cook that people love?! His voice is so raspy it's annoying... and really,.. he doesn't have much singing talent. He just butchers every song he sings.
David A. has a wonderful voice, but he has no stage presence. More than that, every song he sings sounds the same.
Syesha really is the whole package. I won't say she knocked it out of the park today, but she has what it takes to be the best singer/performer in the whole bunch.
How I Met Your Mother and The Unit renewed? {TV Squad}
May 13th 2008 11:56AM While I'm really happy to hear about HIMYM, I'm ecstatic to hear about the Unit! That truly is a great show!
Scrubs: My Princess (season finale) {TV Squad}
May 9th 2008 1:51PM I'm sorry,.. but if I have to be the one to say it, then so be it,...
You have never seen "The Princess Bride!?!"
Ok,.. I'm done. It's out of my system now. Nothing left to see here.
BAE Systems working on spider-bots, other ways to scare you to death {Engadget}
May 1st 2008 6:40PM I just asked my buddy at BAE if he was involved with this project and he could "neither confirm nor deny his involvement in that project". All I know is that he just got a considerable bonus, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was.
On a side note he did mention that "If (he) was to tell me all of the "high profile" government projects that he was working on or aware of, it would blow (my) mind - and scare (me) to death"
Miley Cyrus vs. Vanity Fair {TV Squad}
Apr 28th 2008 12:23PM Funny,.. I was just telling my wife while we were watching Idol Gives Back, that Miley Cyrus was gonna crash hard. It's unfortunate, but she's already following the path that Britney and other similar stars have paved for her. The sad thing is that I don't blame Miley, but the press and papparatzi for the eventual downturn of this star. I'm not really a fan of hers, but good luck anyway girl. Your gonna need it.
Battlestar Galactica: Escape Velocity - VIDEO {TV Squad}
Apr 28th 2008 1:34AM Damn Phish,.. can't someone have an opinion? So I mentioned my disappointment, big deal. I'm still a fan of the series, but just expect more than what I've seen so far. Yeah, of course I think it will get better as the season wraps up, but for now I feel it's lacking.
So why don't you take your pompous, self-righteous attitude and shove it.
Battlestar Galactica: Escape Velocity - VIDEO {TV Squad}
Apr 26th 2008 9:18PM I don't know if I'm the only one, but I've been pretty disappointed with this final season thus far. The first episode was pretty good, but it's gotten too dark and melodramatic for my tastes. I mean,.. BSG was a pretty dark show to begin with, but now it seems like everyone has major issues and it's not getting any better. I have no problem with the fact that four of the final five are on the ship, or even the casting of them, but I don't like the direction they are taking these four. Anders seems like the most sane one of the bunch, and that's probably just because he hasn't been featured much.
About the only thing I think is entertaining as such is the discord in the Cylon fleet. It's intriguing, but we haven't seen much more of that.
Last season received a lot of complaints that the series had turned too melodramatic, but I defended the show saying that the writers needed to flesh out the characters and that not all shows can be filled with adventure. But at this point I feel BSG has stepped way too far away from it's roots and is getting as slow as molasses.
Tricia Helfer gets multi-episode arc on Burn Notice {TV Squad}
Apr 24th 2008 7:09PM I'm just happy to hear that Burn Notice is coming back. It's a great show in a typically slow TV season.
