Oct 26th 2009 10:19PM Ahhh Comic Sans,.. the bain of all (legitimate) graphic designers out there. Here's a great comic strip that all my fellow graphic designers will appreciate.

House as a young boy in deleted scene from "Brave Heart" {TV Squad}

Oct 21st 2009 4:19PM Wow,.. I had it all wrong. I initially read the title of the post and thought you had a clip of a young "House" in the movie Braveheart. (I know, I know,.. that doesn't make a whole lot of sense - but that's where my mind went anyway). Didn't even think about the shows title.

Miley and the stripper's pole: thumbs up or thumbs down? {TV Squad}

Aug 11th 2009 1:25PM I'm with Butters. If anyone would actually take the time to watch the video, you would see that it was absolutely harmless. Calling it a 'strippers pole' is like calling the floor lamp in my living room a strippers pole. Get real. The Media is sensationalizing it, and of course the masses are feeding off the hype. Everyone reads "strippers pole" and thinks of lewd acts or dancing, but what this was, was nothing of the sort. (and this is coming from a fairly conservative father)

BatteryCare provides detailed laptop battery info {Download Squad}

Aug 10th 2009 10:52PM brain fart,... "tracks discharge cycles", not "charges discharge cycles".

duh.

BatteryCare provides detailed laptop battery info {Download Squad}

Aug 10th 2009 10:51PM I'm trying it now. While the fact that it charges discharge cycles is cool and controls aero effects (which I personally don't think make a big difference), it doesn't seem like it's any more accurate than the Windows utility. I mean,.. it's nice that it monitors CPU temp, and discharge rate, while giving me details about the battery capacity, but really,.. is that really necessary?

Top Gear's Hammond wrecks his super car in U.K. accident {TV Squad}

Aug 9th 2009 5:15PM I'm with you,.. all these complainers just don't get it. These quirky jabs at the brits are harmless and in the same vein as what Jeremy Clarkson and the rest of Top Gear says about the US in their shows.

Damn,.. some people are sensitive.

The real reason The Unit was cancelled {TV Squad}

Aug 7th 2009 1:22PM I'm sooooo disappointed that The Unit was dropped. I understand though. It was inevitable, I guess. But damn,.. it was a really good show that never got the credit it deserved. When it got canceled I felt like it was a really good friend that was moving to another country and I'd never see again...... get's me all teary just thinking about it.

Voltron movie gains momentum {TV Squad}

Jul 21st 2009 10:52AM +1 I'd prefer to see Robotech rather than Voltron. While I was an avid follower of both when I was younger, I think Robotech could translate better into a big screen adaptation.

America's Best Dance Crew back in August, but moves to Sunday {TV Squad}

Jul 8th 2009 1:41PM First of all,.. if Qwest Crew isn't on ABDC, it's not worth watching.

Secondly,.. I fully expect Qwest Crew to have a featured performance on SYTYCD sometime this season. If they don't, it will be really disappointing.

Royal Pains throws everything at the wall, nothing sticks {TV Squad}

Jul 3rd 2009 4:46PM Perhaps I'm the one with the wrong impression. For the most part, I've considered TV Squad an informative blog. It tells me when changes are happening on my favorite shows, when certain shows are playing, and what's going on with my favorite actors. Sure, there are posts that illicit discussions amongst the readers, but when those type of posts come out, it's normally something along the lines of "Some people are criticizing **** show/actor/director for **** reason, what do you think?". Not, "I feel this way about **** show. I didn't expect to like it, and I was right". I mean seriously....

TVS has almost always been good about giving information and reviews, but leaving the voicing of opinions to the readers. That's not to say that Nick's or any other writers opinions don't matter, just that I don't think their opinions merit closed-ended posts.

And I know you say that Nick posts regularly to this site. (I really don't pay attention most of the time who writes what) I'm sure that's true, and I'm not trying to flame him. But he doesn't even review Royal Pains to begin with! Bob does (or was as of the last episode), and HE ACTUALLY LIKES IT!

This got blown way out of proportion, but it got this way because the original post was just kinda out of left field.
