Yesterday we
revealed the TV Squad bloggers page, complete with profile pictures of everyone. However, one person had a fake profile picture. The guesses were all over the place, with a majority of folks going with the red herring,
Brett Love (yes, that is really Brett's awesome beard). Lots of folks picked
me for having the fake picture (yes I'm wearing a goofy hat), or
Wil Wheaton (yes, he really is a pimp). The answers from there were all over the place.
The real profile picture we replaced with a fake one is to the right. Read on to see who it is.

It's been a while since we updated with a
roster page of everyone on the TV Squad team, and what better day to do it than today? In case you haven't noticed, over to the right there is a new banner:
Meet the TV Squad. Click through there and you'll see the whole lot of us. Click through each image to see our profile pages, links to our posts here on TV Squad, and a place to leave a comment for any one of us.
OK, OK ... Yes, there is a joke in here, which we're turning into a contest. One of the team member pictures is
not really that person's picture. For the entire day we'll let everyone comment to this post with their guesses as to who they think has the fake. Everyone who makes a guess will be entered into a random drawing to win one of several DVD sets (we'll send the list you can choose from). Read on below for the rules.

We thought it was time again to point out a few features of TV Squad that have been around for quite some time now, since we have new readers coming to the site every day.
First up,
RSS feeds. Most blog readers know what these are and how to subscribe to them, so I'm not going to get into the basics of that now. What you may not know, though, is how many different RSS feeds we actually have here. Sure, you can subscribe to the main feed with all of the posts, but maybe you want to zone in or posts in certain categories?

I know a good amount of you are wondering why Brigitte's TV Squad Daily has stopped updating. I wasn't able to say anything or update because of behind-the-scenes contractual talk, which is why this post seems so late.
In a nutshell, Brigitte's TV Squad Daily won't be a feature here anymore. While I'm saddened that something couldn't be worked out, I wish her the best in wherever she takes her talents.
You may now proceed in commenting the hell out of this post to tell us how stupid we are to let her leave, yadda yadda.

The wait is over! The newest chapter in the Lost story begins tonight. To celebrate, we're hosting a live chat during the Lost season four premiere (9pm ET). It's a great opportunity to discuss the episode with fans and share your opinions with other TV Squad readers.
The chat will begin shortly before the show starts. A link to the chat will be provided in the recap post, so check the front page later tonight to join the conversation.
Take it from someone who has seen the premiere in advance--you don't want to miss this episode. It is just as exciting as the season three finale, and you'll want to talk about it with your fellow Lost fans in real time as the drama occurs. See you tonight!

Of all the award ceremonies on television, the Golden Globes is probably the only one I liked watching through to the end. When you mix the stars with a sit-down dinner with booze, some of them then having to make speeches -- what's not to like?
As if lack of a huge ceremony would stop us from chiming in with our own choices in the television categories. Continue on below to see some of our writers' thoughts on the nominees, their picks for winners and some polls for you to voice your own choices.
Feel free to click through all our predictions. To begin, just click "see our predictions," below.

Alternatively, click on the box for each award and read the posts in the order you choose. Enjoy!

It seems these days with everyone talking about the WGA strike, and then, as a result, fewer new episodes of our favorite shows airing, there's not a whole lot going on with TV these days. If you just take a quick look back through the last twelve months of the year, you'll find some things you remember fondly, others you wished to never be reminded of.
We went through some of the most talked about and interesting stories of 2007 and put them together, just as we do
every year. Some of them are more personal to us than others, but in all cases they certainly kept the TV Squad desks buzzing.

For the next
twelve ten straight days, we here at TV Squad will be performing our own rendition of
The Ten Days of Festivus, counting down from Jackie's number ten later today. Be sure to check back every day for the next gift that TV has given us this Festivus season -- you won't want to miss any of them.
Be sure to also check out
last year's list if you've got no idea what the heck I'm talking about.

Last Friday we held the first ever
TV Squad meet-up in Boston (well, technically Allston). We just wanted to finally take time to thank everyone who came out to meet up with us, have some free beer, food and pool (yes, free, thanks to SlingBox makers, Sling Media) and walk away with bags (bags, I tell you!) of TV shows on DVD, all courtesy of Paramount Home Video and HBO Home Video. One lucky woman even walked away with our grand prize (well, only "prize," really) of a
SlingBox Solo and
SlingLink Turbo.
I didn't have a whole lot of time to myself to take pics of the event, but there are some in the gallery below. We're hoping for another one in the near future, most probably New York. Hope you can make it then!

As you may have heard, the first official TV Squad
meet-up is happening in Boston tonight. I desperately wanted to go, but, alas, fate (and my booking agent) intervened. My stand-up show is tantalizingly close to Boston (in what I like to think of as the Paris of New England: Hartford, CT), but by the time I'm off stage, I'm pretty sure the meet-up will be finished. I've instructed Joel and Keith that if Conan O'Brien, the cast of
Desperate Housewives, and the
guy who invented TiVo all show up at 12 AM with two shot girls and a case of Red Bull, that they should call me so I can make the trip. Truthfully, I'm not holding out much hope of that happening.
So, with my absence all but certain, I made a video greeting for all the people who will be attending the meet-up. Originally, this was just going to be a special one-time video for the meet-up (you know, like the Beatles' fan-club flexi-disc
Christmas greetings), but I am, apparently,
so handsome, the Powers-That-Be decided it would be selfish not to share it with the wide world.
I hope you enjoy it. I look forward to the comments on this video being just as creepy and suggestive as the comments on
Brigitte's videos.

Hey everyone. We thought it was time for a quick State of TV Squad post, since we've had a few things to mention to y'all this week. So rather than bore you with multiple posts about it, why not lump it all into one?
First order of business:
TV Squad's Boston meet-up. It's tomorrow (Friday) night, and at least a few of us bloggers will be there (one virtually -- you'll see). Not only do I have a suitcase-sized duffel bag full of TV on DVD to give away,
Sling Media (creators of the SlingBox) has been incredibly gracious enough to sponsor the event. They've also given me a
SlingBox Solo and
SlingLink Turbo to give away to one lucky attendee, as well as a few t-shirts (we'll have some TV Squad t-shirts as well).

This is just a quick reminder that a week from today is TV Squad's first (of what we hope to be many) meet-up of readers and writers, sponsored by
Sling Media. You can
read full details on our original post as far as time and location.
Just a quick update: I've got a good amount of TV shows on DVD to give away, thanks to Paramount Home Video and HBO Home Video, as well as some TV Squad T-shirts. We're not sure yet how we're giving it all away, but we'll come up with something. Hope to see you there!

There's plenty of things to be thankful for every year. A semi-safe roof over your head. People who pretend to love you. That boil that finally disappeared. But enough about our intimate personal lives. This is TV Squad, so we're going to tell you what we're thankful for as related to all-things television; our families should be so proud.
From now through Thanksgiving day, a slew of TV Squad writers will be
presenting their lists of what they're thankful for when it comes to what earns them the big bucks here: TV. Don't be surprised if a few of them suck up to us while they're at it.
Enjoy, and Happy Thanksgiving! (even if you're not here celebrating.)

Last month I
asked the readers of TV Squad whether they'd be interested in attending a TV Squad meetup. Well, we've decided there was enough interest to give it a whirl, so we're going to have the first of hopefully many reader meetups in Boston next month,
sponsored by our friends at Sling Media (which means we'll have some slick Sling gear to give away!)
"Wait, Boston?"At the time we had two places in mind, San Diego and New York City, and we do plan to have meetups there in the future. Consider this the first of many, and one that at least a few of us writers can attend, including Joel, Bob and myself. You never know who else will turn up. Oh, and we're giving away Sling gear, TV shows on DVD and TV Squad T-shirts. Joy!
Read on for the details.
