(S01E10) "Pineapple."So last week was the big bomb buster. Sarah kissed Chuck, Bryce came back from the dead, Morgan got a girl to touch him... pretty crazy stuff. Now, we get to see the aftermath of
Chuck-nobyl and what it means for the future of Team Bartowski.

(S01E09) "Relax, It's dating in L.A. ... everyone lies" - Casey
So, if you saw this episode last night, you must be freaking out right now. If you happen to be passing by this review on the TVSquad front page, I won't ruin it for you, but you need to be watching
Chuck. It is really one of the few shows I truly look forward to and it will be the one I miss the most if this strike continues for much longer. That may be a little extreme of me to say, but it is pretty much the truth.

(S01E08) "Huh ... Tiniest cop I've ever seen." - El Capitan Awesome. So I guess the writers are going to try out this little whole, entire let's-actually-have-a-continuous-plot thing they implemented last week with the revealing episode on Chuck's back story. Although it is good that they are trying to create a new arc (involving guest star Rachel Bilson), I think it is kind of short sighted to not include anything about the revelations from last week.

(S01E07) "What? Slingshots too ineffective?" - Chuck Oh it is good to be back after a week of absence! I know you guys missed me so much, but I think that
Will O'Brien did a great job with his
review of last week's episode. One note from last week's episode that Will didn't cover... Captain Awesome's name is Devon? I had to rewind the video three times just to make sure. What a lame name (no offense to any Devons out there). I was really hoping for a Hoyt or Blakely or Mortimer.

(S01E05) "This is the part where we hide" - ChuckI am still on the fence about
Chuck and this episode does not do anything to knock me off in one direction or the other. It is still a humorous, character-driven show that isn't too messy or overwrought, but at the same time it seems to have no continuing plot that makes me want to keep with the show. Everything manages to tie up neatly at the end, which isn't bad, but just merely not all too compelling.
With that said, I was a fan of "Chuck Versus the Sizzling Shrimp." The episode was sweet in the way that makes you say "awwwww" out loud in a room full of guys.

(S02E05) "The moment you trust them with what you care about most, they'll have you." - HRG For some reason I feel a little short changed by this episode of
Heroes. Yes, there were plenty of twists and turns and moments of... "Wait! What the heck just happened," but I still feel that not enough progressed in the storylines I care about (mainly Hiro, Peter, HRG, and Sylar). There was just enough to make this episode not a waste of a Monday -- as if I had something better to do.
Let's just hope this is the set up for an amazing week to follow, but for now I present you with the next installment of HEROES REVIEWWWWWWWWWWWCAP (you are supposed to insert booming, echoing voice there).

(S01E04) "I thought you were supposed to be good at lying" - ChuckSo it was another satisfying episode of
Chuck, funny, hip, referential. They still haven't worked out all the kinks in the show yet, but for the most part the structure and humor of the show is beginning to really solidify, giving us something that might last beyond a season.
"Chuck Versus the Wookie" introduced us to red-haired, blue-eyed bombshell Karina -- I can't seem to find the name of the actress who played her on any websites or press releases, so if you recognize her please tell me; I would like to see more of her ... work.

(S02E04) "Oh Golly" - Sylar, grade A meanie.I really want to thank all you guys who sent in such positive feedback on the new format for
Heroes reviewcaps.
JJ is going to follow a similar structure,
as he displayed last week, so we can have some consistency from week to week, episode to episode.
The above quote was one of the single most hilarious moments ever on
Heroes, which is usually suffering from too much drama... or more accurately melodrama.
This week saw the introduction of Micah's extended family, the return of a clean-shaved Nathan Petrelli and the answer to who is Molly's monster, so lets get it started.

(S01E03) "Now that's what I call moving some merchandise." - John CaseyIf you've already seen the episode, which I assume you have, you'll know the quote above comes at a very tense point in the show. The writers had two ways to go: have Casey say something very serious or have him say something so ridiculous it counters the "bad-ass"-ness of the previous scene (i.e. a microwave straight to a thug's head).

(S02E02) "Have you seen a scary white man?" - Hiro Nakamura, time traveler.Last week at TV Squad we had a big discussion on how to handle our "reviewcaps," the episodes of the big shows that we both provide a plot summary and review of. It seemed that we were getting a lot of very detailed plot descriptions, but not enough review. These special posts seem to go on and ramble on forever and there clearly needed to be some change. It was decided that we would treat reviewcaps not as entire episode treatments, but rather a review where all the major plot points are touched upon.
So I present to you, my lovely audience, my first ever (intentional) reviewcap!

(S01E02) "No matter how stressed you are, it's never OK to murder a woman's souffle." If you read my
first review or my
Early Look post, you know that I love
Chuck. I gushed more than a Yellowstone geyser. However, I am going to be very honest about the second episode.
It was a disappointment.
After the hip, sleek, funny, action-packed pilot episode, this episode fell flat. It was kind of boring, nonsensical, and didn't advance the plot in any way shape or form. OK, now I am being a little harsh -- it really wasn't terrible -- but it could have been better.

(S01E01) "Working on a five year plan, just need to choose a font." - Chuck Bartowski
Last night was the premiere of the shortest-named show in primetime. Shhh ... what do you mean Cane and Life are only four letters? I don't care about House and Bones tying at five letters. I refuse to acknowledge that CSI and ER are still on the air. I think my first line was clever and I am keeping it no matter how wrong it makes me.
Meandering back to the point ... it has been a long time coming for Chuck. For months there have been teasers and web ads bombarding people with its existence and now it is finally here. So let's see if it was worth the wait.

So we are doing a little new thing here at TV Squad: the audio interview. It is part interview, part podcast, all fun. Please bear with us (or more specifically me) as we get the format down to something that is both interesting and informative to you, the audience -- kind of like
Bill Nye the Science Guy. Only instead of science we have interviews with celebrities ... same difference.
It began last week with
Joel's interview with Rob McElhenney of
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Today I am posting a phone interview I did with Zach Levi of
Chuck, which premieres tonight at 8 p.m. EST. If you read my
Early Look post, you know that I love this show. Now that I have seen the third episode -- oh, the perks of TV blogging -- my opinions have been confirmed. However, I may have been biased when watching my episodes, because of this interview.
As you will hear, Zach Levi is the nicest guy alive. Very humble and thankful to be in the game. Unlike last week's audio, this is pretty much

When I first heard that NBC was going to remake the 1970s
The Bionic Woman, a spin-off of
The Six Million Dollar Man, I got more giddy than a schoolgirl with a new Bratz doll -- that is what the kiddies are into, right?
The teaser video for the new
Bionic Woman was intriguing to say the least. My first thought was, "Oh my God! This is my new
Heroes. " I mean really how could you go wrong in the 18-24 male demo with a hot girl who kicks butt? It is practically like giving a grown-up Claire Bennett (another
Heroes reference) her own show.
I heard
earlier that
Bionic Woman was supposed to be one of the best shows of the fall season ... excitement levels rising. I also found out that I would get to watch the pilot episode of
Bionic Woman and get to tell you guys about it ... excitement levels out of control.
So let's see if the show can live up to my own hype.

Let me make myself clear from the get go: Watch
Chuck this fall. I have seen the first two episodes and I am in love. You can read the rest of this spoiler-free early look if you want a little bit more about the show, but I just had to get that off my chest before I started.
Chuck follows the recent trend in television and film of Beta-male leads. What do I mean by that term, one that was obviously developed by some social anthropology professor with too much time on his hands?
Nerds are hot right now.
