Paul Reiser, one of the stars of NBC's "Must See TV" heyday of the 1990s, is reportedly returning to the Peacock Network. Thankfully, he's not producing a hokey reality game show like his pal, Jerry Seinfeld.

Reiser, co-creator and star of NBC's hit sitcom 'Mad About You', is executive producing and starring in a new single-camera pilot backed by Warner Bros. Word is that NBC has picked up the project, possibly to help fill the coming gaps in its schedule thanks to Leno's return to late night.

Jorge Garcia, the dude who plays Hurley on 'Lost', has launched a new weekly podcast about the show's final season, lovingly titled "Geronimo Jack's Beard."

You can download the first episode now, which features Jorge and co-host Beth Shady discussing the script for last week's premiere 'LA X Parts 1 & 2'. It's a fun listen, but don't expect to hear any plot spoilers from Jorge, who clearly states that he's "not the answer guy."

While listening to "GJB," I honestly wasn't expecting to get any definitive answers to the four million questions I have about the premiere. (I doubt Jorge could get away with sneaking spoilers into the recording.) Still, I was hoping to get a few clues about the strange new "flash sideways" storyline.

But the podcast left me even more confused about the premiere than I was before.

(S01E04) Just like Chuck Bartowski, Christopher Chance seems able to access any type of fighting skill, foreign language, or Bible verse necessary to nudge his way out of a tight spot. But unlike Chuck, or Echo from 'Dollhouse', his super skills don't come courtesy of some dubious sci-fi technology. So where did Chance get his awesome abilities? Who knows? We'll probably never learn the answer to that question. Despite the show's small attempts to get a larger arc moving, 'Human Target' is more concerned with delivering fun, action-packed self-contained episodes than with building a rich mythology.

Surprisingly, 'Sanctuary' offered some valuable intel about Chance's past, courtesy of Guerrero's latest "side job." We learned that he's wracked with guilt over his involvement in a woman's death -- a woman he was probably in love with. The same woman might've been the reason he turned things around and started working for the good guys, mirroring this week's client, John Gray ('Fanboys' star Sam Huntington). I'm looking forward to seeing these plot elements finally pay off somewhere down the line, but I don't expect the payoff to be huge.

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the writing team behind last year's best and worst blockbusters ('Star Trek' and, you know, 'Transformers 2'), have inked a three-year deal to develop new shows for 20th Century Fox.

The 'Fringe' scribes will write and produce TV projects under their own company, which Fox hopes they'll populate with creative moneymaking geeks like themselves.

The duo is gonna be very busy for the next few years. They've already signed to write and produce a 'Hawaii Five-O' reboot for CBS, and they're also launching a new 'Transformers' cartoon for Hasbro's The Hub. (Not to mention 'Fringe', which is still going strong on Fox.)

Orci and Kurtzman's movie projects include the much-anticipated 'Star Trek' sequel and the big budget graphic novel adaptation 'Cowboys & Aliens'.

We're only hours away from the premiere of the final season of 'Lost'. I'm excited, you're excited, and Richard Alpert himself, Nestor Carbonell, is right there with us.

I spoke to Carbonell recently about his role in the show's much-anticipated endgame. Needless to say, there are some big things in store for our favorite ageless Other, and Carbonell is looking forward to showing fans a whole new side of Richard (or should we call him Ricardus?).

He obviously couldn't spill all of the show's big secrets, but he was surprisingly candid about what fans could expect from his character this year.

(S0910) This was a halfway decent midseason premiere. I certainly wasn't expecting that.

For Smallville, things usually start to drag around the midseason point. Then it's like driving with the parking brake on until the season's final three episodes arrive. But not this year.

This week's solid entry and next week's "Absolute Justice" event are signs that Smallville will sustain the momentum by giving fans exactly what they want – fun episodes that feed into ongoing story arcs, and plenty of geeky superhero action.

"Disciple" smartly nudged a few major plot threads forward, offered some sweet Lois & Clark moments, and delivered an entertaining self-contained story. Spoilers below.

Battlestar Galactica creator Ron Moore's doomed Fox sci-fi pilot Virtuality is finally getting a DVD release. The pilot, billed as a TV movie when it premiered last year, is heading to DVD on May 4.

Fox showed little faith in the intriguing drama that followed a crew of astronauts haunted by a malfunctioning VR system and a bit of space madness. After ordering several changes to the show in order to make it more "mainstream," the network scrapped plans for a full series and dumped the premiere on a random Friday night last June with little promotion.

Needless to say, nobody watched.

(S01E03) "Did the hooker just punch you in the face?" – Winston

No runaway trains or upside down planes this week. Instead, Chance crashed the Russian Embassy and teamed up with a sexy FBI agent to catch his friend's killer.

This was a great episode. It had all the elements of a taut big screen thriller, plus some excellent action and a few welcome quirky character moments. I've only seen three episodes, but I'm already hooked on Human Target. I'm ready to follow Chance to the end of the season and beyond. Here's hoping that Fox (killer of all things that make me happy) has similar plans.

It looks like Human Target is set on delivering plenty of stand-alone episodes with only hints at a greater story arc. I'm a big fan of shows that offer complicated arcs that stretch out over several seasons, but that's clearly not what's happening here.

(S02E11) That's all, folks. This was the final scheduled episode of Better Off Ted, aka ABC's brightest, funniest and weirdest comedy in years. I'm really gonna miss this show, and I'm not looking forward to awaiting the network's final decision concerning its fate. Will BoT return to ABC? Could another network (say Comedy Central?) pick it up? I hope so, but I'm not holding my breath.

Tonight's episode wasn't exactly a classic, but it offered plenty of laughs, hilarious throwaway lines and a great guest turn from Warehouse 13's Eddie McClintock.

Casting McClintock as Ted's flaky brother Billy was a wonderful idea. The guy has excellent comic timing and he fit in perfectly with the rest of the cast and the crazy tone of the show. I loved how Billy brought out the primitive nut-slapping, titty-twisting version of Ted we rarely get to see. Billy's visit also prompted Phil and Lem to act reckless and order a ridiculous amount of cadavers, chomp down on "cheese apples" and wear tight leather pants.

Comedian and Kenny G lookalike "Weird Al" Yankovic has inked a deal to direct and star in a live-action TV movie for Cartoon Network. Sadly, it's not a sequel to his 1989 cult classic UHF, so don't expect to see Michael Richards tossing poodles out of a ten-story window again.

Yankovic was nice enough to interview himself about the project on his personal blog. He's keeping mum about the movie's plot details, but he revealed that the film's protagonist would be a teenager. Yankovic also said he'd take on a supporting role.

If the film is able to draw an audience, it's likely that Cartoon Network will develop it or another Weird Al project into a live-action series. The network already has a working relationship with Yankovic thanks to his voice work on The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, The Brak Show, and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job.
