Zach Galifianakis Shaves His Beard on 'SNL' ... or Not (VIDEO)

Proving that he'll do anything for his craft, Zach Galifianakis shaved his beard for the 'Pageant Talk' skit on 'Saturday Night Live' (Sat., 11:30PM ET on NBC).

But then ... were our eyes playing tricks on us, or did he show up at the end with the beard again? What the heck is going on here, Zach?! You're scaring us!

Update: An 'SNL' Backstage Web Exclusive shows Galifianakis making a mad dash backstage to shave off his beard in between sketches. Turns out that after 'Pageant Talk,' he used a fake beard to close out the show. Mystery solved. Now God's speed growing that thing back, Mr. Galifianakis. You can watch both videos below.
