NBC has no one to blame but themselves. Putting Jay on at 10 pm mean you are willing to compete head to head with: CSI's Miami and NY, Private Practice, Ugly Betty, Castle, Numb3rs Criminal Minds etc. This means you make a Long-Term commitment to change what 10 pm viewers are watching. Eventually ABC and CBS are going to put lots of re-runs against you and if you hold out long enough you can change their viewing habits. Face it there is a lot terrible TV on at 10 o'clock NBC just needed to make a real commitment but they didn't. So now they'll ruin some other good shows by moving them from their current time to the 10 o'clock slot. Have some guts to stand up for your shows NBC.

I like Jay Leno at any time, and watched him before and now. I think the later time slot is the better, and hope that's what it is. mj

My husband and I are extremely disappointed. Jay Lenos show has been great. even better than the tonight show. With the later time we won't be able to watch it. We have to get up early to work. What possessed you to take off a winner? Jackie Chesapeake Va.

I agree, cancelling Leno's 10pm slot is a big mistake,,,it was just taking off! I also feel was better format than The Tonight Show--new and fresh. NBC is in the clouds and doesn't know when they have a good thing!

No shock at all. Jay wasn't funny at 11:30, he wasn't funny at 10 and he won't be funny when he goes back to 11:30.
I doubt he can make drunk people on new years eve laugh if he paid them.

Jay isn't and has never been funny.
They just move him from place to place so more people get to see how un-funny he is!

So glad to see Jay gone!!! He comes on at 9pm because we are in central time - which bumps everything else an hour earlier. Shows such as Law & Order SVU are not appropriate for the 8pm time slot since there are children still up at that hour and some parents like to watch that show (like myself!). I have not been able to see 5 minutes of L&O b/c I'm getting my daughter ready for bed at that time. Hopefully NBC will put the shows back in their regular time slot.

Conan is about as funny as head lice. He's never been funny--ever. Jay should be on at 11:30 to 12:30 and Conan should take the next 1/2 hour before Jimmy Fallons' hour. Jimmy is actually funnier than Conan and getting better all the time.
It's time for Conan to move to Fox if he wants an hour of dim witted humor to be viewed.

I used to be a faithful viewer of both Leno & Conan for years. I love both of their shows and rarely missed an episode of either. I was surprised at the new programming and didn't understand how NBC could disrupt a winning lineup, especially since they were both doing well in their timeslots.
As much of a fan as I was, once the change happened, I unintentionaly missed both of their shows all the time. The switch-up just disrupted my viewing. I would forget Leno was on and wouldn't remember until 11pm. "Oops! I missed Leno again." And, since I was used to watching Conan late at night, I would miss him at 11:30pm, too.
As stated, I am a fan of both so, I hope NBC will fix this mess they created and do right by both men.

Leno - Lenopause... That says it.
He is a has been, he has been there. He needs to move on, he is a failure. Conan, is good and just starting to get it going, he has improved in the last few weeks. Moreover he is fresh, I was not sure about Andy Richter, he is kind of creepy, but they play off of each other pretty good. Conan, beats 'Letcherman' all to Hell and gone. They should replace Letterman with Leno! I Love Jimmy Fallon, if he moves I won't get to see him! I think Leno has made enough money, had his time in that position, after-all he willingly gave it up. He even announced it five years ago! He is not that funny, his writers must have writers block. They take no risks, nothing political, it is all safe crap, a bunch of Candy Asses! Unless he writes that fecal matter himself, it stinks; I have tried to watch him, BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRING!!!!!! I felt like I was in the front row of a Theatre craning to see a Movie looming above my head. His set stunk, it showed no imagination, all that hype and nothing to show for it! BARF! Dog Food! Double Barf!!! He has lost his MoJo, Corny is an insult to a Country Fair! He is Corny, YUCK! Let him go home, count his cars and polish his Chrome!
Adieu! Adios, Arrivaderchi!, GO HOME LENO! There is no party with you! Get out of the way and let the new Blood do what you cannot!
Take a cruise around the world, find something new to be funny about. You are STALE!

Yipee more "prestige" 10 PM dramas. I look forward to "Law and Order Tax Court" and "Proctological General Hospital".
There are too many police procedural, medical and lawyer shows. At least Jay was something different in a sea of the same shows over and over again.
Next ratings period the local affiliate will be complaining about there poor ratings again. Just an excuse. Most local news is crap like all of those same dramas. I look forward to CBS's new show "CSI-Pigeon Forge, TN", followed by "NCIS-Hoboken". No originality, just clones. Sorry Jay. Tell NBC to take a walk and kill all of the networks on FOX at 11:00 PM.

I've never been a fan of Jay. I think if I was the other guy who holds his old slot I'd tell them to leave him where he is or he's walking. He should take his late night show to FOX if they push jay back into the 11:35 slot. Jay needs to tuck his tale between his legs and go away. He is rich and needs no more money. GO AWAY JAY!

Why was the change ever made? Anyhow, we all know that was a huge mistake. So, what to do now? Bring back Leno to the Tonight Show and Conan to late night where his humor belongs. Dump Fallon & keep Carson.

NBC are you crazy? Canceling "The Jay Leno Show" is absolutely shameful! Our family has and will always be Jay Leno fans! The change to prime-time was the best schedule change ever. Our two high school boys watched Jay's show with us every night, it was a perfect time slot and the most entertaining show on TV. We, and mostly the boys, can't tolerate Conan's show as it is stupid slapstick comedy and that may be over stating its comedic value. Here was our nightly TV viewing schedule starting at 10:00pm: The Jay Leno Show, NBC News, switch to CBS and watch Letterman and back to NBC for Jimmy Fallon. If a change is required: send Conan packing and put Jay back on the Tonight Show. If you (NBC) blow this one we will leave NBC out of our TV schedule entirely. Oh yeah! Leave Jimmy Fallon alone, he is the next master of late night!!! Here's a thought; Jay and Jimmy to FOX, I like it.

I hate the writers for Jay now. It's not his faulkt what they write for him now sucks! The format of the new show was awful from day one. Jay does not plan the show, NBC does. If they only give him a half hour, that's a real insult. You can't do a show like that in such a short amount of time. I lay the blame right on the shoulders of the executives at the Network. as for Conan, he's just not ever been a favorite, but I think they gave him a crap format too.
Crag Ferguson is the best off the cuff comedian on Late Night right now. Letterman stays the course.

NBC had a "new coke moment" there.
Jay is the one with problem not Conan.
Jay should be a man about this, and just leave.
Followed by the front office at NBC.

Face it; the golden age of late night talk is long over. Paar, Allen and Carson died. No longer can Bob Hope save a dull show with a surprise visit while taping a special down the hall. Sammy Davis Jr also gone. Great comedy acts like Burns & Schreiber, Albert Brooks and Rich Little are no longer part of late night. Letterman is only talk show host who's even funny.

I thought that the hour time was offered to Jay Leno because of the need to have a show that was light and fun to help with the mood that the recession had created upon the country. I thought that was a good idea which ended the evening of a difficult day on a positive note. Jay has been sucessful in doing that. The news affliates have taken a pretty poor leap saying that Jay's upbeat feeling has left us in a place that we aren't interested in being brought back to reality and listening to Americas problems on their new's cast. We do need what Jay has provided through his show and we do not need to have it replaced by cheap reality shows or Seinfeld helping people with marriage problems. Let us laugh. We need it. I will not settle to watch some repeat, reality show, or self-help show. That only creates more frustration. The idea was a good one. I tape other shows on other stations to watch later and relax with Jay for a light-hearted touch of humor.
