Big Bang Theory meets the Wonder Years

Does it take a brainiac to play a brainiac? No, of course not. But when Danica McKellar guests on The Big Bang Theory on January 11, that's what they'll get. Not only is Danica well-remembered as the nearly-perfect Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years, Kevin's neighbor and the girl he always adored, she's also smart as a whip. She has the degrees to prove it. A couple of years ago, TV Squad put Danica In the Limelight. Ryan learned that Danica had graduated Summa cum Laude from UCLA with a degree in Mathematics. She is the McKellar in the Chayes-McKellar-Winn Theorem.
I'm no genius, but I do like the symmetry of the former Winnie Cooper meeting the present Dr. Sheldon Cooper. Could this be a love connection? I'd like to think so, because thus far -- and I fairly certain of this -- Sheldon is the only one of the four guys who's yet to get some booty. At least that we know of. Perhaps we're going to discover that Sheldon has had multiple partners of the carnal variety, but if so they've all been off-screen.
There's hope for Sheldon, too, because listen to what Danica told the TV Guide: "I play Abby, a grad student at Cal Tech. She's the love interest for one of the characters." Could it be Dr. Cooper? The picture kinda looks like they're together -- they're touching.
By the way, this isn't Danica's first foray into CBS Monday night sitcomland. Remember the How I Met Your Mother episode, "The Pineapple Incident"? Of course you do. Danica was the girl that Ted woke up with the morning after the incident.

"Sheldon is the only one of the four guys who's yet to get some booty" That's not correct. Rajesh "hooked up" with a girl he met at a bar while drunk. We didn't see the pick up but they showed him in bed with the woman the next morning.

It would be great if they worked "And then I knew what I had to do" into the script!

I don't think Sheldon is actually touching her so much as his arms are behind his back and he might be not moving away from her, which might be Sheldon's way of touching her.
A hook up for him might consist of something very mathematically odd, keeping in mind how he decided to research friendship when he wanted to befriend Krepcky ( or however you spell it) and got stuck in an infinite loop when it did not proceed logically according to his formula.

Hmm. Winnie...Cooper. Sheldon...Cooper. The Wonder Years took place in the late 60s and early 70s. Could they be related? Could McKellar be playing Winnie's daughter, a previously unseen cousin of Sheldon?
Or am I being a big geek?

Okay, since no one else thought to ask, who's the girl on the right?
And I'd LOVE for Sheldon to have a girl! The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem showed that he's receptive to female idolatry, and likes girls that are super-smart. Come on, writers, give Sheldon some lovin'!/

Celebrity deathmatch proposal: Danica McKellar vs. Felicia Day! At a blackboard doing advanced differential equations. C'mon, they both have Math degrees!

I know of someone who has been to the TV taping for this episode. Danica McKellar is playing *Raj's Love Interest* -- the other girl is the friend of Danica's character and is putting the moves on Sheldon.
