Though this clip pretty much represents everything people slag on Family Guy for, I thought it was hilarious when I saw it Sunday and still think it is. What makes Family Guy worthwhile is that they will take the kinda funny random non sequitor and follow it up with another one that builds on the joke (the aforementioned 70s Show cameo) -- it's that "one step too far but not too far at all" that makes the show work.

So long as the flashbacked actor they're referring to is one you'd know. In the case of That 70's Show, you didn't even need to watch the show to know who they were talking about.
Personally, I loved when Peter told Quagmire "We're not aspposed to!", when he tried to grab the can of Koolaid. I just love when Peter acts like a 3 year old.
