Jay Leno's ratings suck less

People who hoped and prayed that
The Jay Leno Show would become a big failure had one less reason to go on living this week.
It seems that the show has
hit stopped a recent
"ratings slide." The last 11 episodes either maintained or improved their adult demographic ratings after a long slide since September.
Even the holidays didn't dampen the show's ratings. The show before Thanksgiving was his most watched since October and was the only show in his timeslot that didn't see a decline in the ratings.
Does this mean Leno will pull himself out of the muck or just sink deeper into the bottomless swamp that is NBC?

It means it is as good as anything else on in the timeslot and the repeat viewers will become loyal viewers. As they said al along, as new shows drop away and his stay new, they will increase.

Actually, it's *halted* its ratings slide. Critical difference!

Got it. I fixed it for Danny. Thanks. In the future, we can get to these fixes much quicker if you alert us via the "Corrections" link at the top of the page.

Just so everyone is aware, his ratings are still abysmal, even up against reruns. It's just no longer catastrophic. This is some major NBC spin, because Leno is still getting worse ratings than certain basic cable shows.

I got trapped watching the first 20 minutes of Jay's new show over the holiday weekend and boy was his monologue weak. He seemed to be phoning it in. The material was weak and the timing, delivery off. I don't remember his tonight show monologue being that off. The interesting thing was that many of the jokes seemed to be racier than his usual TS material was.

If you don't like the show don't watch it!! How about turning it to FOX at 10pm? oh yeah it's Local affiliates news.
I'll say it again Leno just has to do the same rating or close to what the 10pm shows were doing for NBC.

From ew.com: "These days, Leno is averaging 2.5 million fewer viewers than NBC's dramas like Law & Order: SVU and ER attracted at this time last year."

Would be cool to see Leno succeed @ 10pm. The show is just tedious though.

I really hope Leno fails! I am sick of him. I never thought he was very funny and he took away 5 hours or programming that could have been used for decent or at least, semi-decent shows. If he wasn't around "Life" would still be on. It was a big mistake cancelling that show. He almost killed "Chuck". Hey Jay,,,, retire!!!
