WKRP in Cincinnati: Turkeys Away
There aren't as many classic Thanksgiving episodes of TV shows as there are classic Christmas episodes. But there are several we remember fondly, including this one. It's the "Turkeys Away" episode of WKRP in Cincinnati that originally aired on October 30, 1978. Carlson tries to come up with a special promotion for the station and, well, you'll see what happens.

Yes that one and Married With Children where Santa lands in the backyard are classics. Don't remember Pang from Buffy. Will have to do a search for it. Thanks.

Love, love, love this episode- from Les's commentary, to Herb and Mr. Carlson coming in covered in feathers, to Mr. Carlson's last line. Truly a classic

I also loved the "Mad About You" Thanksgiving episode in which the Buchmans, while all their guests were there, had to keep replacing their turkeys because every one kept getting ruined (and one of them Jamie tossed out the apartment window). It was hilarious.

What's shocking by today's standards is that Carlson's show topping last line is delivered during the ending credits! (not the final credits with the gibberish rock song)
If that were done today, the picture would have already been squeezed to half the screen to make way for the next show, and a voice over would have totally drowned that out
