Ask TV Squad: TV shows on DVD

DVDThe "Ask TV Squad" column, published every Wednesday, answers your questions about current and past TV shows, as well as about the celebrities appearing on TV. Every week, I will pick a question (or more) sent to us and provide answers in the column. If your question is not picked for a column, it may be answered in a subsequent column or in TV Squad's APB Podcast.

To submit questions to the "Ask TV Squad" column, you can post them below in comments or email them to asktvsquad@gmail.com.

This week, I answer questions about TV shows on DVD.

Q. dkaarma asks " Will these shows ever come out on DVD? Love Monkey? Daria?"

A. Thanks to TV Squad visitor C.A., I can offer you a link about Daria DVDs. You can also find the DVDs that have been released so far on the "Daria DVD" results page at Amazon.com.

As for Love Monkey, TVShowsOnDVD.com offers an interview with Tom Cavanagh in which he mentions that a DVD is in the works for the short-lived series. However, no release dates are offered.

Q. punksrus asks "Any chance Now and Again will come out on DVD?"

A. I visited some of the most popular websites about TV shows on DVD and none have news about Now and Again, starring Dennis Haysbert and Eric Close, being released on DVD. Amazon.com does have a page up for the potential DVD where you can live comments about the series and ask to be emailed when the DVD is released.

Note that this Amazon page doesn't guarantee that a DVD for the series will come out but it's a good place to let the production company, CBS Productions, know that you are interested by the DVD. You could also email CBS Productions directly. If the production company notices that there is enough fan interest to warrant the release of a DVD, the more chances you have of actually seeing the series hit the shelves in a store near you.

We often receive emails at TVSquad.com asking us when DVDs for a series will be released. Here are a few websites you can check to find the answers you seek:

- TVSquad.com's "TV on DVD" section
- TVShowsOnDVD.com
- Amazon.com (do a search in the "movies & TV" category)
- IMDb.com (on the show's page, you'll see a link to "DVD Details" on the left menu)
