The final episode of David Tennant's run on Doctor Who "The End of Time" has been posted online. Well, not the entire two-parter, but just the first three minutes or so. It was broadcast in England on the BBC as part of their Children in Need special. The first episode is scheduled to be shown in the U.K. on Christmas Day with the final episode on New Year's Day.Spoilers and video are after the jump.
In the first three minutes we get another wrap-up of a plotline regarding Tennant's Doctor. In the episode "The Shakespeare Code", the Doctor runs into Queen Elizabeth who orders his execution but the audience never knows why. It is revealed in Tennant's dialogue that the Doctor actually married and dumped Queen Elizabeth between "The Waters of Mars" and now (he's going through an "I don't give a toss about how I affect the universe" phase). Then there is an appearance by both Ood Sigma and the Master.
Tennant remains a pleasure to watch whenever he's on screen. Matt Smith has big shoes to fill.

About to say the same thing - not the first three minutes. But an awesome three minutes. In fact, I'm going to watch it again.

Yeah, BBCA's really been on top of getting these posted ASAP. I'm still annoyed that they're waiting a month to run Waters of Mars, but I'm glad we won't have to wait long for the final two episodes after that.
Given that BBCA's running on-air ads calling the last 3 Tennant eps a "three-part event", I expect we'll get the final episode on the following Saturday, Jan 2nd.
A quick mention of an item from BBCA's Facebook feed - "The Doctor Who specials will not be edited for time during their Premiere broadcasts". So anyone planning on DVRing them until the DVDs come out, queue 'em up early and allot a little extra time, as the last two both ran a bit over the originally scheduled time slot when they premiered.

Why do you Canadians insist on calling the UK, England?
