Could Christina have been the Dexter shooter?

One of our ever alert readers pointed out a theory in
last Sunday's episode of Dexter that sounds so crazy, it might just actually work. You've got to love TV logic. The craziest theories gain the most traction.
TV Squad reader
Frank Militello aka mello one proposed that Christina Hill, the plucky reporter and Quinn's nosy girlfriend, may have been the trigger man, er, woman who wounded Debra and killed Frank Lundy.
The theory came on the heels of Debra's realization that the Trinity Killer could not have shot her since her wounds were too far down her abdomen. Christina also revealed to Quinn that her editor is one bloodless story away from firing her and she need more ink that "bleeds" and "leads."
Could Christina be Lundy's killer and if so, how would you feel about that?

I would be very disappointed if she was Lundy's killer just for a story, but if she did have ties to Trinity, then I could see it working. That doesn't seem very likely though.

This is exactly what I thought when she was so insistent to Quinn about her job. But the only problem I have with this theory is that Lundy recognized the person like it was a personal friend or someone he knew. So I'm wondering if he some how new her before or something.
Any thoughts?

True, but didn't Christina break the story on Lundy that he was in town hunting a serial killer? Surely he would have read that piece and recognized her. Not saying that this is what will happen, but that's how it ties together, even if it's in a very weak bowline.

No way. Anton shot them. He was jealous of Lundy sweeping into town and taking his love away. He has been absent from the series since that episode.

I'd be really disappointed. As soon as Deb figured out the bullet was at the wrong angle I did a mental walk through the cast and came up with the reporter, but thought it would have made more sense for her to simply follow Lundy to get a story - rather than shoot him to create one. I'd rather it turned out to be Trinity's son. Mind you, if it was the reporter it could segue in to the Quinn-suspecting-Dexter (a.k.a., Doakes II) storyline - i.e., Dexter kills the reporter, Quinn sees it.

The son is another great angle. Just imagine a father/son killing room. On second thought, don't.

I still think it was Anton. The look on Lundy's face suggested that he hd mightve seen or known the gunman

I thought of this, too, because of the height thing. And because she seems a little bit crazy. There's something kind of off about her.
Though in 3 years of Dexter, I've never predicted any of the mind-blowing plot twists with 100% accuracy.
There is also some buzz about an as-yet unseen character played by a guy named Chris Vroman. Julie Benz mentioned him on Twitter...did you hear about this?

While watching the episode I thought of this too. Part of me is hoping this isn't the case because it seems to be too obvious. It'd be much more tragic if this shooting was really just a random act of violence with a gunman who has really bad aim.
I just want to know when the photo of Dexter's mom half shredded is going to come into play. You know someone is going to find that photo (Quinn?).
I'm also hoping that the Trinity Killer doesn't bite it this season and somehow makes it past the finale. Dexter has had way to many nice and tidy happy ending finales. It'd be good to have at least some sort of conflict unresolved for the next season.

Looks about the right height for the distance he probably was from them.

The reporter is probably just a red herring, if that.
Every season of Dexter has a theme. Season one was family, two was relationships, three was friendship, and four is parenthood. How do you be a killer and still be a good father/husband? Following this, it makes sense that the killer is Trinity's wife.
Dexter always wonders what Rita would do if she found out his secret, and everything he finds out about Trinity's family is a major surprise. The ultimate surprise would be finding out that Arthur's wife found out his secret, but then decided to protect him. Although she serves no major purpose, they keep showing her, as if to remind us she's around.
My money is on her.

What if the shooter was in a car and sitting down? Depending make and model, its highly possible. Except for a shot from Masuka's monster truck!

I agree...I think the idea that the shooter is relatively short is the red herring...the shooter could easily have been in a car or crouched behind a car.

This is turning into "Who shot Mr. Burns?" from The Simpsons a few years ago, hehe.

All you people suggesting Anton really have not watched the show since he had no idea she was with Lundy until after she and Lundy were shot. Anybody remember the convo in the hospital room. Plus Anton is easily over 6' ft tall and Masuka and the shooter are much shorter than Deb. Now back to the topic, it wouldn't matter if she is the killer since Trinity is visiting her this week.

I immediately thought it was Christina once they determined Trinity was too tall, she seems like a wack job. But I like the idea of Trinity's wife, that would make sense at least in the way it has been argued here.
Definitely not Anton.
