And to finish that thought, Lynette said, "Yeah, well your side is married." Which sums up part of what this episode covered -- the fact that Julie and Nick had an affair, and Lynette found out about it and confronted him. During the scene, I thought to myself, why is Lynette confronting him? What does she hope to gain from it? But I can see why she did it -- to try and protect Julie.
I'm filling in for Isabelle this week (apologies for my lateness on the review), so be gentle with me. Mostly what occurred to me about this episode was how thin all the ladies have gotten again. For a while there, it seemed like some of them bulked up to at least a size two. Now they're all back down to a size 0. Bree runs a catering service, for cripes sake, and looks like she hasn't eaten in weeks. Sandwiches for all. Oh, and Carlos is looking more and more like John Travolta. And thank God for Kathy Najimy.
First of all, Gaby she looks like no other mom I've ever met. She's so tiny that she's like a kid herself. Let's hope she had a C-section when she gave birth. As for her storyline this week, I don't really understand why it was so important for her to do the home-schooling. They seem to be making enough money to afford a tutor, so I'm glad Carlos finally came to that conclusion and let Gaby off the hook.
And Gaby getting the housekeeper to do the teaching made perfect sense to me. The woman's had some major schooling, after all. Then again, I'm not sure what that says about the DH writers -- that they think well-schooled foreigners can't find jobs in their chosen field in this country? I know plenty who have. Go to any major hospital and I bet most of the doctors will be foreigners.
I know I keep harping on it, but thank goodness that Drea de Matteo isn't stick thin. I love seeing real-looking women on TV. And the pairing of her and Bree in the catering business should be fun, since they're total opposites.
Susan was a cheerleader in high school? I didn't take her for the cheerleading type. Though I can picture her stealing Denise's boyfriend, and maybe even saying that Denise laughs like a moose. Stuff like that comes back around to haunt a person -- as Susan found out.
Someone tell me why Bree still puts up with Orson. I know he's got something on her, but I'd still kick his ass out. He's such a buffoon.
Did anyone else think the Sprint commercial with the woman killing her husband because he's about ready to run off with someone else a little ... weird? If I was a phone company, I wouldn't want my brand associated with a killing.

Um, the focus on the actresses weight was a bit much. Is there really any difference between them and the women in most shows. Who cares!!!!
Great episode, but I feel bad for Susan. The gal can't seem to get a break. Love the Bree pairing with Drea de Matteo's character (forgot her name sorry). I agree with the point about Orson. Just kick his ass out'

Look around some more, Jane. There's thousands of immigrants with professional training who can't get licensed in their fields because of archaic state standards of licensure so they have to take jobs in other fields until they are cleared for licensure.

Um..it's called irony? You know, how Gabrielle thought she was better than the maid--when she's the one who should be scrubbing floors?
And, yes, unfortunately TV can't give us more unhealthy women to look at. Besides, I think most of the people watching this show are old enough not to give in to peer pressure.
As for Orson though, I'm guessing he'll get killed off later this season. There's really no going back for that character now that they've ruined him. Same with Katherine. I think they had Angie and Bree cozy up because Bree practically has noone in her storyline now except Karl, and I don't see that lasting.
