I don't want to say that I'm psychic or anything (I'm not, though I can bend spoons), but I had a feeling that Eastwick wouldn't last beyond one season after I saw the new shows at the ABC upfront. I don't know why or how I thought that, probably a combination of the plot, the time slot, the network it was on, and how programming on the networks is these days, but I just didn't think it would last.
And now it looks like it won't. ABC has declined to order more episodes of the series. This isn't an official "cancellation" but it's a very bad sign for the show.
There's more news coming from ABC too, and this is actually surprising: they've ordered 5 more episodes of The Forgotten. That's a show I thought would be gone quick too. It still could be, since ratings aren't great (though better than Eastwick's) and it hasn't exactly been critically-acclaimed.

I watched the first episode of Eastwick than moved on and this show you mention the Forgotten, that will have 5 more episodes, this is the first time I have heard of it LOL

I totally agree. It wasn't like I was hoping for her show to fail (okay maybe I was) but her and Carter were great together. Also Zoe will probably be back now that Hank is tanking in the ratings.

It seems like the year of bad decisions fro ABC, first they ax Defying Gravity, then Eastwick and continue to air sucky shows
Producers, screenwriters please next time you have a great idea please for the love of god pitch it to Syfy or any other intelligent network, forget ABC!!!!

I watch the Forgotten, too, and I can honestly say I only watch it because nothing else comes on at the same time that I want to watch more....I mean, really, how many times can you do a different version of the same episode without it getting REALLY old? Eastwick was actually entertaining and kept me guessing....it is a shame that all good shows get cancelled...

I watched this show, Eastwick, every week and really like it. I am very disappointed to hear that it has been cancelled and hope the network changes their mind. I love the actors and story lines. It's one of those shows I've been into from the very beginning and the hour flies by when it's on. Please don't cancel Eastwick, ABC. It's a terrific show!
