Reportedly, before Michael Jackson died suddenly in June, his brothers – and other family members – were putting together a reality show for A&E. After all, celebrity reality shows have a certain appeal, especially train wrecks like Being Bobby Brown or Hey, Paula. Not that the Jacksons were thinking that way. I'm sure they envision something classy and edifying.Since Michael's death, the interest in this miniseries has escalated, much like the interest in all things Jackson. Will the brothers talk about Michael? How much? Will Michael's children be included in the show? All that and more will be answered when The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty debuts on A&E December 13, at 9 p.m. The plan is for two hour-long episodes to kick off the series.
According to A&E, the show is going to be about the Jackson four, Jackie, Jermaine, Tito and Marlon, preparing to do concerts for the first time in a while. In the midst of the music, they'll be shown dealing with Michael's death and the aftermath. Six episodes were filmed in all.
If the A&E folks are smart – or have enough influence – they should urge the producers to include as much old footage that includes Michael as possible. Maybe never-before-seen home movies and classic TV appearances. Outtakes from the Victory tour perhaps. It has to be something more than six hours of the Jackson family mourning because that will not be arresting TV.
Not unless it's a train wreck.

You are quite right, A&E should better include as much "Michael Jackson" in these shows as possible, or else these shows will be destined a failure.

they, as in the Jackson Family should lay everything to rest. The are self-serving, greedy parasitic group of humans. Now the father wants money from the grave. It is destine to fail, as they are all failures.

Looking forward to the show.
The Jacksons are not parasite. It amazes me how people who have never met them seem to want to castigate them even in their grief.
It appears this family is being held to a higher standard than all the degenerate celebrities out there who are coke heads, promiscuous, rampant adulterers and who use a curse for every other word because they are so illiterate.
God bless the Jackson family. Haters need to do inventory on their own lives.
