Danny Pudi(S01E08) Well, that ending was disappointing, wasn't it? Spoiler alert: the gag over the closing credits did not feature Abed and Troy. What were they thinking? Those were some of the funniest moments of the first seven episodes!

It was about time we saw the financial repercussions of Jeff having lost his license to practice law. There's a lifestyle that comes with being a big-shot lawyer, and it's not at all the same lifestyle of your typical college student. That's Abed's life, and we got to see that, as well.

Meanwhile, Annie tries and tries and tries to muster up the courage to talk to Troy about her feelings. The problem is, I think she's expecting him to put two and two together as long as she drops enough hints. But it doesn't look like math is one of Troy's strong suits. Or thinking, for that matter.

It was pretty sad that she was going to such lengths to try and break up his date, but it allowed us a short cameo with Patton Oswalt as the school's doctor. Within five sentences, he was hitting on Annie, so it's nice to see that the dysfunction affects everyone on staff at the school.

It was a little surreal, the whole scenario with Pierce trying to chuck paper wads in Jeff's throat during Spanish class. Chang's excitement about it, and then the way he woke up Jeff just left me feeling uncomfortable. Ken Jeong manages to bring funny and creepy into the same role. And a heaping helping of crazy.

How awesome was Pierce singing 'Britta's a B!' When Vaugh first showed up I was asking, "Why?" But they really made it work by having him be a dumb musician who just insults everyone with his music. Pus, Pierce had me cracking up when he was trapped behind his keyboard.

There weren't any breakout hilarious moments, but every little thing in the episode was satisfying. I got a kick out of seeing Jeff knocked off of his high horse, living in his car and then rooming with Abed. We learned a lot about Abed, with his room filled with '80s movie posters and the television constantly on. Someone needs to do a study of Abed, he's one of the most intriguing characters on TV right now.
