Will Cookie Monster become the Veggie Monster?

The Internet's never ending "series of tubes" were circulating rumors that I thought had already been addressed years ago by TV Squad,
The View and even
the monster's own mouth.
Rumors started circulating earlier this morning that
Sesame Street's Cookie Monster would drop the "Cookie" on his business card and replace it with "Veggie." It became the top Google search this morning and fueled rumors that the character would make the official change on the show's 40th Anniversary on Nov. 10th.
A show rep said Cookie Monster will remain as such, even if he considers cookies a "sometimes food." That's good ol' Cookie Monster, teaching kids the value of nutrition while sacrificing the value of good grammar.

This is an unacceptable change. Kids are going to know cookies taste better than vegetables when they taste the two. Which they will and they will prefer cookies. So why change a classic monster. This change is repugnant to me. It's way too liberal for my tastes. Cookie monster is not the reason for obesity. And I've noticed very few obese children. If a child is obese, it's probably due to an inherited metabolic or thyroid issue or something of that sort. Not b/c some kid devours food like the biggest pig on the planet.

I think changing cookie monster is stupid and will ruin his charm. I think they should have just have had cookie monster's cousin visit or move to SS "an orange version of him be a veggie eater." the count von count had relatives drop in on him. could do the same with cookie
