Practical jokes are funny, to a certain extent. Until someone loses an eye or something.
This clip is from an episode of Ellen last week. Taylor Swift was the guest so Ellen decided to sneak up on her as she went into her dressing room's bathroom. It doesn't look like a set-up, as Swift looks truly shocked, so my question is this: what if Swift had broken her ankle or slipped and hit her head on the toilet? She comes really close. What an embarrassing way to die that would have been. Yeah, really funny Ellen, you killed America's sweetheart in the toilet!
Swift's heels look about 9" tall.

I don't think that it was so close. Everything what we are doing is danger, but you can't always thinking about it.

As usual, this is a "Sky is Falling Post" with a pretty big IF leading off on a slow news cycle. Not to mention appointing Taylor Swift "America's Sweetheart." So, you're an Ellen hater, huh? Tip to TV "reviewer": It's Sweeps time. Expect more goofy things. If you are so afraid of bad happenings, turn off your TV set and back away slowly. I mean, it might blow up and catch you on fire and then who would we have posting inane "reviews."
C'mon Bob, you are better than this

I do tink this is blown way out of proportion!
However the comment about an accident is a good point. It is one thing to lose your balance, fall, and no problem. But if Taylor had really injured herself it would not be funny. There is a difference between Adults and Children, not sure if that is what going on here. Love Hellen D. and Taylor!

A couple of minor details you omitted :
It wasn't their real dressing room, it was a fake - specially prepared for the prank. They were then sent to their real one, thus the camera was not in their actual bathroom.
They were all told to look at the picture of them and Ellen - a picture on the wall in the bathroom. So they were not going into the bathroom to use it, they were going in to look at a picture.
Might want to actually watch the bit you report on...
