You really can't leave your computer or your TV screen anymore or you'll miss the latest news/cancellation from NBC. The latest? Trauma, the new, heavily-hyped medical drama that had that big splashy pilot with the helicopter and car crashes.Does this news really surprise anyone though?
It's yet another Monday night casualty on the network. Remember when they paired Heroes with shows like Studio 60 and The Black Donnellys? Journeyman? Not much survives on Monday nights on the network it seems, and I'm not sure if Heroes and Trauma back to back made sense. If there's any good news it that it looks like they'll actually finish showing the shows they have in the can and won't just yank the show completely or just show the remaining episodes online.
This could be yet another reason why NBC wants more episodes of Chuck.

That sucks I love this show, especially Rabbit! This show is good and has so much potential...it was like "Greys" in an ambulance and I loved the cast! This sucks!! NBC sucks, why they just start giving their money away!

For me, Trauma was the best new show that any network had. I couldn't wait for Mondays at 9PM. Don't know what I'm going to watch now.

I liked Trauma. It was like "Final Destination" for network tv, the set-ups leading to the accidents were equally ridiculous and fun. It's problem was that it just had too much "human drama" on the side. Bloody accidents and Rabbit - that's all the show should've been about!

Man, they really hyped the crap out of this one. Kinda surprised to see them cut it so soon, even if I didn't watch it.

I could swear not 12 hours ago there was a story (I don't think on TVS, maybe on THR?) that NBC had just ordered 3 more episodes.
They shoot this near my office and it would've been nice to see some long term production back in San Francisco....

it always amazes me how USA can have so many hits ... and how NBC itself just sucks (with exceptions like 30 Rock and Chuck)

A hit on cable doesn't have to get the ratings that a hit on network TV needs. Simple enough there.

Case and point, Monk. Failed on ABC, thrived on USA.

I thought it wasn't bad and definitely watchable. It really amazes me how networks keep yanking new shows. Please, do it with the reality shows for a change!

NBC's problem is they're counting on finding a knockout show to save them, instead of letting a series develop into something amazing. I don't think Trauma had the staying power unfortunately, so that makes for a bad example, but I can't get Life or Journeyman's cancellations out of my mind. Thing is, if you tell a good story then people will pay attention. What NBC needs on Mondays is an A-Team or a Mission Impossible. Just sayin...

That's too bad. I didn't think Trauma would win any awards, but I still liked it.

I guess I can erase these off my DVR! Unless a show is a absolute hit (Modern Family, Glee), I save them for a vacation to watch...just in case. NBC will never screw me again like they did with Journeyman.

it was entertaining but way too intense to have any longevity. watching crazy crashes and seeing some people die and some survive gets to be a little too much.

Oh thank god. I was afraid I'd actually get into the show before they yanked it (life...?) At least I have Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs to fall back on.

NBC is the worse. I liked Trauma. I think there is one show left on the network I watch and that is because they keep canceling good shows. Horrible. Excessively so!

Well, that sucks. Screw NBC, Trauma was a good show & the only one I watch on their pathetic network. I kind of figured they'd do this, but I was hoping I'd be wrong. Oh well, back to CBS.
