I don't want to toot my own horn, but I predicted that illness would fell more reality show competitors in last week's TV Squad APB podcast. It turns out that the first to be affected was Billy Bell. Fox's official website posted a message wishing Billy a speedy recovery. There were no details of his illness. It's a shame to see Billy go so soon. After seeing Monday's performance, which was pre-taped, he showed power and technique. He hopes to try out for Season Seven.
If you want to be spoiled on who replaced him, the replacement's partner and dance, and another injury continue reading.
If you recall the Las Vegas rounds, one of the final 38 was hip-hopper Brandon Dumlao. He didn't get much air time in the latter episodes and was cut at the final walk. He will be paired up with Pauline and will be dancing the Smooth Waltz. They only had a few hours before the show to practice.
The rumor mill is floating around for another injury. Noelle Marsh, who performed in the second Contemporary piece with Billy, is rumored to be suffering from a knee injury. The events will play out similarly to Season 3, where Jessi was injured and Pasha performed with Melanie LaPatin, Tony Meredith's choreography partner. In this case Russell, Noelle's partner, will be performing with Melanie. The judges are still on the fence with Noelle. If she can recover, which I doubt if it truly is a knee injury, they may let her back.
While I don't understand why Russell wasn't just partnered up with Pauline, it's nice to see another hip-hopper given the chance. Ironically, they didn't pick the other Latin dancer who was in the last two spots with Ryan.
It looks like an interesting twist of events on tonight's show and I'm hoping that Brandon won't just get eliminated after being called back. What do you think of the events? Leave comments below.

The loss of Billy Bell may well determine whether I watch the rest of this season or not - I realize the other contestants are immensely talented, but Billy was by far my favorite going in.

Did anyone else notice the obviously inserted voice over from Cat Deely that "two would go home - tomorrow!"

I noticed the comment as well. I thought that they didn't cut people until Wednesday.

There is no voting tomorrow. The judges will decide who's going home. This is due to scheduling with baseball. I hear the judges consider throwing Peter under the bus.
