When NBC canceled Southland before the second season even had a chance to debut, online fans went into "Save Southland" mode. They went on Twitter, wrote letters to NBC and Warner Brothers, and tried to get the network to reconsider their decision, Jericho-style. Well, NBC is still not going to air the show, but Nikki Finke is reporting that TNT is going to pick up the show and start airing the first season as early as next week.
But she says that the deal isn't set yet because TNT and NBC can't come to terms on money (of course). In fact, an insider tells Finke that the "behavior from NBC has been unbelievable and amazingly f***ed up - even for them - which is saying something."
Of course, there's no word yet on whether TNT will simply buy the first season's worth of episodes and whatever they filmed for the second season or if TNT will actually produce more new episodes.

Nothing that NBC does anymore should surprise anyone......I barely survive the Sitcom triple macarena of Community- Office-30 Rock....and admit i watch in large part in protest of of CBS's lame "laugh track" sitcoms that i will NEVER watch...... Also thumbs up to Friday Night Lights but get real...NOT on friday Nights ...you Buffoons !!!!!!
Otherwise, NBC non sports programming ..... is DEAD to me.......

NBC is really no longer one of the Big Four Networks. The moves they make are very self destructive. They need someone in charge who understands what it takes to be a Major Network again. Doubt it will ever happen.

Southland better not come back on cable before, or instead of, Life! I don't know what USA plans to replace Monk with, but I can't think of anything better to replace the defective detective than one who got a life sentence, and then got his life back.

Ha, I am not at all surprised. I think the entire thing from start to finish was a ploy. Blog like this one, who are Leno haters, blamed him for canceling the show.
So for weeks and weeks, the canceling of Southland has been getting traction in blogs. People who don't like Leno piled on the blame Jay bandwagon. NBC knew the first day shooting started on the second season that they would not have a place on the schedule for the show. But filmed anyway!!!
Come on, could you not see this was the plan all along? Now many people who have never even heard of the show will tune in to the premiere episode on TNT. I doubt there is any 'probably' about it at all. The two networks just want to see how much more worked up people will get.

Great. Now I can not watch it on a different network!
I tried watching season one. It was too heavy-handed, and there were too many characters to keep track of. Boomtown was better -- too bad TNT can't pick that one up.

Let's all step back and look at who this article is quoting. Nikki Finke has some great sources but she is so outrageously biased against NBC that it's almost impossible to rely on her info regarding them.
