(S05E06) Ooh! Things I learned in high school! This episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia was presented as a frame story, just like The Canterbury Tales. Did the gang out-Chaucer Chaucer!? Well, no, but it was a lot funnier than the Wife of Bath, I can promise you that.

There were a lot of excellent moments (read on to find out who won the "Best Retch-Face" award, which is as coveted as it is imaginary) and they made for a solid episode, though not one to immediately jump into my favorites. Admittedly, that's an unreasonable weekly expectation anyway. Oh well. At least we got some Greenman.

In a strange way, I would have liked to see more of Sweet Dee, Mac and Frank trying to get their tickets back from the bug-bombed building, even though it probably would have just been a lot of screaming and crawling through hallways. Also, the contest is over. Although Mac was pretty funny, Sweet Dee and Frank have tied for "Best Retch-Face." Didn't know there was a contest? Well, too bad, you should have anticipated it.

Charlie and Dennis' own adventure through the parking lot was also quite good, if only to see how they, fueled only by desperation and bright blue riot juice, would prepare to pounce in the way of a car. Also, the return of Greenman came with a brief but almost-epic battle with the Philly Frenetic (not the Phillie Fanatic, of course not), one of the highlights of the episode.

There were also a few other laugh-out-loud moments, including Mac's not-at-all love letter to Chase Utley (mainly because of the stickers and Mac's miming as Dee read it in the courtroom), the push-up contest and "Why are your eyes filled with blood?" However, the gang's screaming in the Phillies fan dungeon (and the courtroom) made me laugh the most.

Unlike Peter Petrelli's inexplicable allergy to shirts on Heroes (or at least the one he had before I stopped watching a few seasons ago), the guys' shirtlessness is always welcome on my television. Hey, at least their lack of reason works with the show. Also, it's usually a good indication that a lot of stupid things are about to happen. From the looks of the preview, there's going to be a whole lot of no-shirt with Mac, Dennis and Charlie in the next episode. This means maximum stupid.
