Here's some good news for you "LieHards" out there:
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has ordered an additional three scripts for Lie to Me, the Shawn Ryan-helmed drama.
Assuming Fox approves the scripts once they've had a chance to see where the story goes, that'll bump Lie to Me's season two total to 16 episodes. It's not a full back nine - but it's closer. That being said, don't forget that Lie to Me was a mid-season replacement earlier this year and the fact that it got picked up at all was a pleasant surprise.
Despite the fact that this season has been seen a drastic improvement from its freshman year (due largely in part to some very creative plots and the addition of Mekhi Phifer), ratings for the show have still dwindled. THR points out that Lie to Me has thus far lost much of its House lead-in audience.
Regardless, this is still good news in my book. At its heart, Lie to Me may still be just another procedural but Tim Roth hoped that would be stretched this season with the addition of some more serialized plots. Here's to hoping these three extra episodes can turn that hope into truth.

Somehow I missed the news that Lie To Me was in danger. I don't understand why House watchers are not staying tuned in. This is a well-acted, interesting series that I can't hardly wait to watch--I do DVR it--but I DVR everything--fast forward thru commercials, you know! I do hope this one stays. I enjoy it a lot!

That's great to hear! I really enjoyed this show last spring but it has been 100 times better this season. This past weeks episode was brilliant.
