Bethenny Frankel has been busy making news. First, she was feuding with the other women on The Real Housewives of New York City. Then, she was replaced on Real Housewives by Sonja Morgan because Bethenny is getting her own Bravo show. Last week, she announced her engagement to Jason Hoppy. Today, Bethenny's confirmed that she's pregnant... and yes, Jason is the father.

Bethenny is two months along and claims she would have preferred keeping the baby news quiet until she'd gotten through her first trimester. It's understandable because it's her first baby and some people are superstitious about saying anything too soon.

However, as much as I like Bethenny -- and I do -- she's a shameless self-promoter and publicity hound. She loves the spotlight. Therefore, I don't think it's just an accident that her pregnancy has hit the news as soon as the tester showed a plus sign!

From the TV angle, this should be a real boon for Bravo. Bethenny was interesting before, but as a pregnant bride, she should be a hoot. The "Skinny Girl" chef is going to become the "Bride with the bun in the oven" socialite/TV star. Imagine the possibilities for Bravo... Bethenny goes for a sonogram. Bethenny tries on wedding gowns in the maternity department. Bethenny has raging hormones. Skinny girl freaks out over big belly.

This is going to get really, really good. Bravo to Bravo for signing her up!
