(S05E05) This, more than any of the other episodes from the current season, felt the most true to the show. I know, that's kind of weird, since the canon is growing and developing with every installment, but this episode had all the things that we've come to know and love from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, from Frank's increasingly speedy spiral toward rock-bottom to Charlie and Dee's personal issues with the Waitress (never give her a name, for the love of everything that is terrible and in poor form). The schemes and the chemistry of the gang was extra-perfect in this episode, especially during the rapid-fire conversations surrounding Mac, Dennis and Charlie.

This is one of those episodes I've pocketed away in case I need to subject -- I mean, introduce -- an uninitiated person to the world of Always Sunny.

The return of the Waitress brings back Charlie's loving obsession, of course. It's good that they didn't reveal the Waitress' big marriage secret to Charlie until the end of the episode, because I imagine the whole thing would have just been Charlie's single tear from "Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom" on loop for half an hour. Also, everything about Charlie's tragic venture into the dating world was amazing; the sleepy-eyed Match.com photo was terrifying, Mac and Dennis' increasing frustrations were perfect, and, well, I'm not sure what else can be said about that sweaty "full-on rapist" moment. The whole mess with the hornets nest still delights me to no end. I loved that they let that thing get so big in the pub before even bothering to investigate.

Dee was also pretty obsessed with the Waitress, but, obviously, for very different reasons. Stopping traffic to "run into" the Waitress and her formerly pizza-faced fiance was amazing, as was her plan for the bachelorette party (oh, Mrs. Mac and Mrs. Kelly, how perfect are they). During Dee's weekly wedding dress fitting, it was interesting to see one of Saturday Night Live's new featured players, Nasim Pedrad make an appearance. I think that's the most I've ever heard her say.

After seeing Sweet Dee's reaction to getting doused in alcohol during the party, I've noticed that, in addition to subconsciously kicking up the gang's favorite "god damn it" in my vocabulary, I've also taken to doing weird kicks when I'm frustrated, just because Dee does it so frequently. I pick up habits from this show. This worries me. If you ever see me smoking hornets in a box (you can tell because of the Sharpie'd "H"), please stop me.

I guess I should also talk about Frank and Artemis' Bacon Bits-filled love-making, but I honestly don't have the stomach for it.
