If you hate musical high school shows like Glee, then tune into this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!NBC cut a performance by the cast of Fox's Glee for the upcoming Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The network pulled the performance because they thought the size and scope of the performance was too much promotion for a show on a rival network.
It gets worse. To make even more room for a Jay Leno float in the parade, NBC also bumped an appearance by the cast of Southland.

Very cynical on NBCs part--"no a Glee float is too promotional, but a giant floating Leno head is just promotional enough."
But then if Fox wants to push their own shows, they can host their own parade. I'm sure it would be more interesting than the NBC/Macy parade.

I'm pretty sure the Jay Leno float was just a joke made by Ryan Murphy in his press release. He said “I completely understand NBC’s position, and look forward to seeing a Jay Leno float."

ok , wait... is glee out of the PARADE? or just out of the broadcast on NBC? Because the parade is broadcast on other stations as well as NBC.

Pity there isn't a GE or NBC NASCAR. FOX could block it out during race coverage.

How about a POTUS float? After all, the parade is on the National Barack Channel. Do those teleprompters come on wheels?

The post is more a reaction to BWE's funny picture than the news itself. But why pass up a chance to complain about us, right, MJL?

Boy, NBC just keeps on making brilliant decisions, don't they? If anything, they've single-handedly provided more promotion for Glee than it would have gotten if the parade performance had gone on.
Honestly, the only decent thing I've heard about NBC recently is that they -might- bring back Chuck early.
