All of the new ABC Wednesday night comedies -- The Middle, Cougar Town, and Modern Family -- have been picked up for the entire season. Actually, one new sitcom is missing from that group.Kelsey Grammer's Hank isn't getting any love from viewers and it's not getting any love from critics. Ratings aren't that good and the critics don't like it. So Grammer is doing a bunch of interviews for tonight's episode, including this one over at The TV Addict. He promises that tonight's episode is funny -- really! -- and we should all watch it.
I watched an episode and... it wasn't funny. I just couldn't get by the premise, and every time I looked at Grammer I thought of his other, better comedies (Cheers, Frasier, even Back To You). In the world of TV sitcoms, Hank is definitely on the lower end. Unfortunately, networks need a hit quickly so this probably won't be given a chance to get better.

Only a fool would compare any comedy to Frasier, Cheers which are classic and Back to You never had a chance. This show has only aired 2 episodes, it is family friendly, which I am afraid will doom it. Considering the viewing mentality of the viewing public, it does not suprise me in the least. The Middle had in its promo, an 8 or 9 yesr old child putting his hand on his teachers breast, and her standing there with a stupid look at the same time not finding a humorus way a saying that is inappropiate to the kid. I have not watched network TV since 1981, and looks as though it will be many more before I watch again. Newsflash-the other "comedies" on television on all networks, including cable are not funny, thats number one, and two everything on is stupid, silly, or just plain junk. I guess my little viewership does not matter.

If you don't like television, what in God's name are you doing here? Read a good book. Listen to old radio programs on RUSC.com. Anything else. I'm just sayin'...
