It has gotten to the point where I really don't care what the hell Anthony Bourdain cares about anything. I liked Kitchen Confidential (the book, not the TV show) and some of his other writing, but this need to speak out on anything and everything in the food world he finds lame or disgusting or "evil" has gotten old. Now he (and chef David Chang) is speaking out on other things he can't stand, and one of them is Food Network host Guy Fieri.Personally, I wouldn't bleach my hair and wear those shorts, but come on, is it really worth bad mouthing his hosting and cooking? I love Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Ultimate Recipe Showdown!
Update: it's actually Chang who made the remarks, but Bourdain doesn't like Fieri either.

he may not be the "norm",but really what chef is?... guy is real and allow himself to continually to not only expand his knowledge, but God forbid has fun,whiuch makes it fun for those watching. hey anthony,go count your money,admire youself in the mirror and get over yourself. we all know you are smart ,well traveled,read and oh to be in your presence. not so much.

My first pick would be Guy. At least he doesnt always look like he's in a cloud of funk and brooding, or like he just woke up from a drunken stupor! Keep your shorts and your bleached hair. That has nothing to do with how you cook! Mario wears those plastic shoes, you can wear your shorts!!

Regardless of what Guy wears (who really gives a hoot) you can tell he actually enjoys what he does and that is what makes him who he is and why people love him!!!! Seriously you two get a life and leave Guy alone.

Bourdains always been against fieri. Hes referred to him as 'poochie', as in the character that was added to itchy and scratchy on the simpsons and ended up just being a corporate shill.

If Anthony Bourdain doesn't like something, he doesn't mince words. Compared to what he's said about Sandra Lee and Rachael Ray, saying Guy "looks like he was designed by committee" barely counts as criticism at all.

More than a couple years ago. The last time he was on Food Network was in A Cooks Tour in 2002. No Reservations started in 2005 on The Travel Channel. Fieri's first show on Food Network was in 2006. there was no crossover.

Good times.
So many of my friends who watch 1 episode say " This is a good show".
Fieri was ragged on by local Boston area Radio guys. His catch phrases are pretty stupid.
