FlashForward: White to Play

FlashForward: White to Play(S01E02) I'm still trying to figure out what exactly is going to be happening at the Benford household the night of April 29, 2010. We got some more hints, but it's still not coming completely together. Particularly, I want to know what Charlie saw, but then I guess so does everyone at this point.

I guess Lloyd and Dylan Simcoe are set to become important and significant members of the cast. We already know that it's Lloyd in Olivia's vision that she has feelings for. It explains some of what's going on there, but not everything.

Weirdly, I spent more time trying to wrap my brain around the logistics of that than I did the mystery of D. Gibbons. At least until that final conversation in the Benford household. Oh, and I have a new expression for when I'm being bad and eating things I shouldn't. "I'm going to go log these cupcakes into evidence."

I certainly wasn't expecting Wedeck to provide comic relief, but he followed up that cupcake line with the full explanation of his flashforward, as well as what he was doing in the present when it came upon him. Let me just say that if I were married to him, no amount of mouthwash would make it to where I could ever kiss him again.

We got some more clues as to the larger picture, including another flashforward, this time from a D. Gibbons, though not the one on Mark's wall of clues. But it was this one's credit card who'd been stolen by the D. Gibbons who is apparently complicit in the blackout. "And then there were two."

What made it more freaky was that Charlie knows of D. Gibbons, and that he's a bad man. But how can she know that? At the same time, how does she know Dylan so well, and how does Dylan know Olivia? What was happening in Dylan's and Charlie's flashforwards that gave him this much information?

As for Dylan's father, Lloyd, did he truly never see Olivia? There's a sequence of him in the bedroom on the phone with her behind him, and we know that the scene with her looking down on him is where the flashforward ends. It appears to end before he fully looks back at her. But I'm not sure what to trust.

Is there another solution to Demetri having seen nothing in his flashforward? Yes, we met someone who saw nothing, as well, and she died, but Demetri's fiance said she saw him in her vision. How can that be possible?

Clues upon clues; I'm going to have to start my own wall. I'll start by melting a doll. How creepy was that sequence. If that was D. Gibbons, then he has more issues going on than his involvement in the blackout. The Rube Goldbergs in the doll factory were so elaborate, he's been set up there for awhile.

I think it was a great idea setting the flashforward for April 29, 2010. With people so afraid that networks will pull the plug on their favorite shows, we only need ABC to hold out for one full season to at least get to this payoff. I think that will help keep people excited about the show and where it's going.
