What You Missed Last Night: Conan responds to Newark's mayor
Recently, Conan O'Brien made a joke about the city of Newark, NJ. I've never been to New Jersey so I've never quite understood the constant jokes about the state that you hear from... well, every comic. But this time Conan went too far. So far that Newark mayor Cory Booker had to respond. So Conan had to respond to that response, of course.

Perfectly appropriate.
Mayor What's his Nuts should learn to take a joke. He's like that jock in high school who responded to light teasing with an aggressive advance and a serious, nearly carried-out threat of physical violence -- and then everybody felt all anxious and awkward because the muscle-bound tool completely over-reacted. Mr. Mayor, you know what would have been classy? Ribbing Conan back! Not like its hard. Look at the man!
Also, Mr. Mayor, your crack team of advisers should have informed you that "the powers vested in" you do not, as a matter of constitutional jurisprudence, go so far as to permit you to impose public penalties (the right to interstate travel is a constitutionally protected right bound up in the "privileges and immunities" clause of the 14th amendment) for comedic speech.
And for the record -- NOBODY wants to fly into Newark when they could fly into JFK. NOBODY.

I know at least 8 million people that prefer Newark to JFK.
