Terry Kniess, the Double Showcase winner on The Price is Right who got his bid right on the money, may have been a "dark day" for Drew Carey, but he's no cheater.
In fact, there have been more egregious and blatant attempts to guarantee a win in a pricing game by skewing the odds in their favor, sometimes right in front of the host's eyes.
For instance, here's a "Shell Game" contestant who does something so outrageous, so ballsy, so completely devious that Bob Barker can't help but rip her to verbal shreds in front of the entire nation. And not only does she get away with it, but she actually wins the game!
Barker really let her off easy. I would never attempt something so sneaky and underhanded in front of someone who trained under Chuck "Skullpuncher" Norris and risk becoming just another chip in his own personal "Plinko of Pain."
I won't say I cheated on TPIR, but the guys behind us in line went every day for decades and would whisper us the exact price of every single prize. When I got called up, I could see the order of the games on a board and I waited until a car game (Pass The Buck) and listened to my friend. Didn't help too much in the game, it was hard to hear them, but I got $5,000 and didn't have to play Take Two (ugh). It's not cheating if you know the prices, maybe with the Internet they need to use different items with more varied prices.
it looked like she thought she was suppose to put the chip under the shell LOL she is Southern after all LOL but BOB should have told her to turn around and he should have re-mixed the shells around for sure
I can't begin to understand why so many people think this is a case of "cheating." The woman, from the look on her face upon his reaction, clearly didn't understand what she was supposed to do with the chip.
She even offered to place the chip in front of the shell she looked under.
Barker was a master of dealing with crazy situations like this, so he played it up and made one of the funniest moments in his 35 years on the show.
She may not have gotten how the game worked, but this WASN'T a case of cheating.

Okay, out of ALL the pricing games one can cheat on, someone cheated on SHELL GAME, of all the possible games?!
That's... just plain wrong.
