VThe "Ask TV Squad" column, published every Wednesday, answers your questions about current and past TV shows, as well as about the celebrities appearing on TV. Every week, I will pick a question (or more) sent to us and provide answers in the column. If your question is not picked for a column, it may be answered in a subsequent column. To submit questions to the "Ask TV Squad" column, you can post them below in comments or email them at asktvsquad@gmail.com.

This week, I answer questions about Flash Forward, Eureka, NCIS, The Philanthropist, and V.

Q. rjbtrdx asks "Will Dominic Monaghan be in Flash Forward?"

A. Yes! You can already see him on various teasers online and on ABC. His cryptic and supposedly major character was not introduced in the pilot but will soon be. Monaghan is also set to return to Lost for a few appearances.

Q. Gina asks "Is Jaime Ray Newman coming back to Eureka? Carter so needs a girlfriend especially since Zoey left for college. I thought they were perfect for each other. I didn't like the dry cleaner lady for him and didn't like him with Allison. [Tess] was funny, beautiful and got along with Zoey. Even S.A.R.A.H. liked her (could you get a better reference than that!)."

A. The answer today is no because the actress is one of the leads on ABC's Eastwick. However, if Eastwick is canceled, the actress would now have free time for a possible return to Eureka. Keep in mind though that even if the actress' schedule clears up, it doesn't mean that the Eureka writers will ask her back to the show. All depends on where they want to take story lines. I agree with you that Tess and Carter were a great couple and I too hoped that their relationship would last longer than it did. But you can't blame Jaime Ray Newman from taking a lead role in another series.

Q. shell asks "Why don't you guys cover NCIS? It's a pretty popular show and I would like an in depth review from you guys."

A. We can't cover every show on TV no matter how good or popular they are. However, we heard your plea and NCIS is now reviewed regularly by TV Squadder Allison Waldman. You can read her reviews in our NCIS category page. As for NCIS: Los Angeles, there will not be regular reviews at this time. However, there may be posts when extremely important episodes air.

Q. freedom55 asks "What the heck happened to The Philanthropist? Every time I get hooked on a show (can you say Journeyman) they pull it off, never to be seen again!"

A. I feel your pain, especially where Journeyman is concerned. There are loads of reasons why shows get pulled off or canceled before their time. However, one of the main reason is ratings. If a show does poorly in ratings, it means that networks will get less money from advertisers so they pull the show from the lineup and replace it by a show they hope will get more ratings. I'll spare you the pain of explaining why and how this works. Where The Philanthropist is concerned, know that only eight episodes were ordered for its first season and that all episodes aired over the summer. The show didn't do too badly in ratings for a summer drama series. The good news is that according to TheFutonCritic.com, the show's fate has yet to be determined by NBC. This means that there could be a second season of the show. Time to rally up with other Philanthropist fans to show the network that you want the series back for a second summer!

Q. BiteMe asks "Just saw a teaser for V on TV. Where in the heck have I seen the actress who plays the lead alien? I know I've seen her in something else but for the life of me, I can't place her."

A. You probably can't place her because she has a totally different hair cut then when you last saw her on the canceled-too-soon Firefly or in the Serenity movie. The lead alien, named Anna, is played by the beautiful Morena Baccarin. The actress also appeared in Heartland, Stargate SG-1 and The O.C. just to name a few. Word is she got the V gig because she actually played the lead alien with a human feel during her audition while the other actresses auditioning were too robotic.
