FlashForward has a big Lost connection, since there are stars from Lost in the new show and ABC hopes it takes Lost's place as the big mystery show on the network. But the premiere episode also had another connection: a possible clue for Lost's new season.
In the pic on the right you can see a billboard for Oceanic Air. If you look closely (bigger version here) you can see that it says "Perfect Safety Record." So that means that the bomb worked and the crash of Oceanic 815 never happened? Or does it mean something else?

It means this is an alternate universe where Lost never happened, and that, as such, the viewer should stop paying attention to a show like lost because this other television show has gone out of its way to say Lost doesn't matter.

so they are going out of their way to say LOST doesn't matter by putting their made up airline in a billboard. that makes no sense. if they wanted to act like LOST doesn't matter it would have made more sense to not put the billboard in the shot.
the bomb changed things.

This idea of the perfect record has been in a few other Lost related items recently (see the videos from Comic-con). I think it is all red herrings to make us think that the bomb worked and that all of what we have seen for the last 5 seasons was erased. After all, that is everyone's worst fear for this TV show after Juliet smashed the bomb. So I think they are messing with us.

If this show takes place in the same universe as Lost then Lost would have to have an episode where everyone blacks out for 2 minutes. If they don't do it on Lost then these are two different universes and in the FlashForward universe there is an airline called Oceanic with a perfect safety record.

But have you considered parallel universes and times? Another thing...the guy wearing the black trench coat who did not "blackout", is it possible he is involved in staging the happening, or perhaps from the future, as he would not blackout if he already had lived and known what was to happen to him.
And...the bird that hit the window...reminiscent of lost, when Walt saw a similar thing. It also nods towards electromagnetic forces as these, if unbalanced, can effect birds natural navigation senses.
Finally, there are two actors from lost who play characters in 'FF' - Penny and Charlie from lost. So, this confuses the relation with lost completely.
Loved the pilot, cant wait for more.

Isn't Oceanic Airlines like the phone prefix 555? But the use of that logo does seem to tie it in to the other shows.

Flashforward was THE worst show I have ever seen. I couldn't even watch all the way through. What a time slot waste.

People. Why is it so hard to understand. The H-Bomb in lost is the event that happened in the past that required someone to enter the numbers into the computer. All the lost folk did in the past is create the reason for their crash ... they didn't prevent anything.
Oceanic flight 815 crashed when Desmond decided not to enter the numbers and the first shockwave happened right when Oceanic 815 was passing overhead.

I predict next season LOST will show us two realities: The "prime" timeline will depict the events that happen following Season 5, while an alternate timeline (which will replace the flashback format) will so how events in the past have changed since Flight 815 did not crash in this alternate timeline.
But, somehow, these two conflicting realities will gradually merge into one timeline in the series finale episode.

These are all theories because we can't tell what is going to happen in "Lost" or "Flash Forward" or if they are in the same time frame or "same universe" so this is my theory.
The bomb at the end of "Lost" season 5 is what stops the plane from crashing, because what caused the plane to crash was an E.M.P. (electro magnetic pulse) caused by Desmond not entering the numbers, now if the bomb stops the E.M.P. in 1977 the bomb wont exist in 2004 (when the crashes).Which means the plane will never crash and Jack and Kate and Sawyer will never have a love triangle. And we could possibly never find out about the black mist or "monster".
Great show never the less
Also Oceanic Flight 815 is a prefix like 555 check out the link below to see what other films and show it was in.

Hey bro its not special thing they showcase lost stuff in the show because there was also a depsreate housewive board on the bus in one scene so if that is connection then lost is also connteceted to desperate housewives? Explain
