I don't understand the problem. Marvel is only owned by Disney ... they aren't rebranding everything Disney Comics.

Disney owns some very adult companies. It is not surprising they aquired this company as well, and it is doubtful it will have any effect upon their family style entertainment companies.

As others have pointed out, Disney owns a number of companies that produce R rated content. They've also expressed no interest in messing with Marvel publishing. Let's hope that it stays that way.

This article can be explained in only two words: scare tactic. As other users above have already stated and shown, there's no basis for any thought along these lines of change. In other words, somebody doesn't like comics and thought that they might try to influence others to their way of thinking kinda like that argument a few years ago thats been ongoing that video games cause kids to act out violently.

Instead of actual reporting on whether or not Disney actually plans on doing anything, we get two random videos off the internet that somebody most likely non-affiliated to either group made. Nice job.

I'm tired of the "Disney is too kiddy for marvel" stick. If they weren't too kiddy to release titles like Pulp Fiction, Princess Mononoke, and Kill Bill, then I doubt Zombie spidey will put a blip on their radar other than it'll probably become a lot easier to find.

Have to agree with almost everyone. If you look into the subject you are writing on even for only a few minutes this could have been a better post. Just a few, it won't hurt too much.

Unfortunately, there have been a lot of "Oh noes, Disney's gonna kid-ify Marvel" posts all over the place. Apparently, many people are completely unaware of Disney's more adult-oriented holdings.

No, Marvel isn't going to become a full-time version of The Super Hero Squad Show, even if that is people's knee-jerk reaction when they see Marvel and Disney in the same sentence.

Still, the vids are interesting.

Good points: It seems that the only people who know about Disney's offerings aimed more towards adults, such as Miramax, are the people who complain about them. :)
