Not only is The Newlywed Game hosting its first ever gay couple. It's hosting its first ever gay celebrity couple. At least, one of them is a pretty well-known celebrity. George "Mr. Sulu" Takei and his partner Brad Altman will be appearing on the program. Although they've been together for over 20 years, they were only legally married last year (before all that Proposition 8 hoopla nullified gay marriage in California). In case nobody remembers the rules to game: each partner is given a question about the relationship without the other partner present. If each member of the couple give the same answer, they win points. Considering that they've been together for 20 years, somebody is going to be pretty pissed off if one or the other gives a different answer to the same question. Hopefully it won't lead to a divorce. The most interesting answers in the game will come from any question about "making whoopee".

God could have made everyone choose to serve him, but he didn't. When you have the power, it is easy to make others bow to your will but He didn't want that--just as no self-respecting person wants a mate that he/she has to force to stay. Everyone has to choose for themselves what to believe in. If it was good enough for God, who are mere humans to balk at that concept? Hey, you should be happy that you are one of the chosen who will reside in Heaven forever. Maybe you are under the impression that your inflammatory, grammatically challenged diatribes will convert your alternative brethren so that they will accompany you on that journey to eternity. But that's not it, is it? You want them to fear the Hell that they're going to, and if they don't believe in it in the first place, well, that's just no fun, is it?
Let me clue you in to something---there is a little trick that you can use to tell which people are really happy and satisfied with their lives. They're the ones that are not inclined to spread negative feelings all over the place, especially over something like two law-abiding, consenting adults that are happy together. You may not agree with what they do, but if your blood is boiling every time you see them, that's a big honking clue. (This same exercise goes for racists, too) Whenever you get mad or disgusted about gay whatever, try spreading a little joy to counter those negative feelings. That HAS to be a healthier activity, because that constant anger is no good for anyone. Plant a tree or something--because hatred isn't doing jack for making the world a better place.

I wonder if "In the Butt, Bob." will be one of the answers?
Proabably not.

Not funny. In fact, ignorant. Why would you write something like that on the Web? Go meet a gay couple and learn something about real people (not lurid rumors about gay people). Better yet, watch the show instead of blowing someone else's unoriginal smoke here, please.
PS Same to the writer of the story.

For those who were not viewers of the original game show, the answer "in the butt, Bob" was supposedly given by a wife on the show who was asked, "What is the weirdest place you (or your husband) have ever had the urge to make love in?" Perhaps he should have said "location." It's somewhat of an urban legend, with varying reports on its authenticity.

I don't know how anyone with morals could sit there and watch this show with a couple of homos playing husband and wife. The de-sensitizing of America. The word "Moral" just doesn't seem to have any value anymore.

It will be interesting to see which one is the 'husband' and which one will be answering questions with the 'wives'. We will find out who takes and who gives...depending on your 'point' of view.

George Takei and partner Brad Altman are ahead of their time. Many advanced spiritual people understand that the soul has no sex. Who you fall in love with has very little to do with that. It's about chemistry and love. People get married for this reason; to hold onto that connection, not necessarily for sex or to have children. I admire this couple's courage very much.

I am so tired of hearing about how the bible says that gay men and women should not be together. How about where the bible says thou shall not commit adultry? I would say that since 50%+ of marriges end up in divorce that a good portion of those are adultry, so where do you get off speaking? My partner and I have been together 12.5 years and the couple in this article 20 years and we have far surpassed the divorce rate and that is something to be commended. My motto is treat others as you want to be treated and it's none of your business what they do in their bedroom after the lights go out! We will all have our judgement day and trust me God is not going to keep the gays out because they are gay, He is going to judge everyone on how they treated others so if you were good to other people and you were gay, straight, bi, lesbian etc. you will be let in the pearly gates. If you weren't good to others then you'd better take stock in shorts and tank tops, because it's mighty hot down there.

Dear Jim, Terre J and others. If you choose to believe that homosexuals of any kind will enter the Kingdom of God I feel sorry for you. The Bible clearly states in the Old Testament and in the New Testament that homosexuality is an "ABOMINATION". If you believe in God and you love Jesus as his son then you had better read your Bible. Genesis 2:24 The man said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'women' for she was taken out of man." v.24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh."
Genesis 18:19 Sodom and Gomorrah Destroyed. Before they had gone to bed all the men from every part of the city called to Lot. "Where are the men who cam to you tonigh? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." Lot went out and pleaded with them to not do this wicked thing."
New Testemant: 1:26 God's Wrath Against Mankind.
The Wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickeness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Gods eternal power and ivine nature gas been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion"
So you see the Word of God is not one you can change to suite your lifestyle. Yes we all have a choice and what you choose is wrong the you will pay a very high price when you die. Adulteres will also be judged for their sin. God loves us but he will hold us accountable. Believe it or not. It's your choice.
