Paula,It has come to my attention, via this article at E! Online, that you are thinking of doing a View-like women's talk show. I don't know if this is a bad idea in general, though I think that you are better off just doing your cooking shows and not risk spreading yourself too thin. But I'm not worried about you doing a talk show as much as I'm worried about the person who you might do the show with.
Kate Gosselin???
I know she's all the "buzz" right now, but so is the HIN1 virus, and you don't want to be close to either of them. She's guest-hosting The View this week while Elisabeth Hasselbeck is busy with her new child. I think that if you do this, it will make you look horrible. Well, actually, if you're sitting next to Kate Gosselin you're going to look great, but I mean it's going to be bad for how people will think of you.
There are a multitude of women on TV (and elsewhere) that you could pick from to co-host this show with you. Please don't pick the much-disliked, clueless star of a reality show that exploits children.
Thanks y'all,
Bob Sassone
P.S. What's the best recipe for biscuits?

I agree with Bob.
I want to offer myself as a co-host!!
I have done alot of catering on my own...am from the north-east, so would give a different demographic to choose from...and have a MA in Communications!!
Most of all I looooove Paula!! Plus, I am "older" than Kate and alot more "down to Earth"!!
Go Paula!! Thanks, Bob, for your suggestions!! Lee Anne

Ya know who you should consider? Kathy Buckworth, a canadian writer who specializes in writing funny mommy stuff. Her latest out is "The BlackBerry Diaries" Next to come: "Shut up and Eat" will include recipes. She's smart and funny.

I think Giada is more fake.
I would stop watching Paula on any station if she made the career ruining decision to pair up with Kate Gosselin.
I can't imagine another show on the air devoted to butter (you KNOW she would have to drag butter into it. )
Furthermore, do we REALLY need another Paula Deen show?

I definitely wouldn't watch if she had anything to do with Kate Gosselin, but we need another Paula Deen show considerably more than we do yet another Bobby Flay vehicle.

God I hate Paula Deen, I don't know if its the fake voice or bad food that does it most, but living around Savannah, GA she definitely wears very thin, we always change the channel.

I agree with Bob and I will offer my services, always wanted to be an actress, my mom says I wasn't pretty enough and I was an actress out of work. I make the best cinnamon buns, even with BUTTER. This is on my bucket list to be an actress/talk show hostess, would love a shot.

I have never written on one of these blogs before, but there is so much negativity going around about Kate Gosselin. I feel she brings with her a great deal of information about raising multiples and also the need for women to identify with when a spouse finds it's just too much trouble working on a marriage. It isn't easy raising children period! I hope your pilot gets picked up and Kate would be an asset.

I am a southern lady who loves to cook for her family and friends and never wanted to miss a Paula Deen food network episode. I also have many of Paula's cookbooks. My family and I love Savannah GA. and have visited her restaurant as well as her brother's, but I have to say that I will not ever watch another Paula Deen episode of anything, nor buy anymore of her products or anything she has her name associated with,if she decides to do a talk show with Kate Gosselin!! Why in this world Paula Deen who has worked hard to be a success would want to stoop to that level is beyond me! She certainly does not need the fame!!!!!To give someone more fame and fortune for exploiting her children, and airing her dirty laundry in public and continuing to do so weekly is really sick and disgusting. I will be highly dissapointed to see Paula Deen associate herself with someone who should have never been on T.V. to begin with. I'm beginning to think that Paula can't get enough fame and fortune herself and I'm sad to say I would have never thought that of her at one time. I guess it's like the ole saying goes, when you aquire wealth you just can't seem to get enough!!!!!!!!! So this is one Southern lady that she will have lost as a fan, if she continues with this venture!

I have always enjoyed Paula Deen in all her venues, but if she teams up with Kate Gosselin, I will sever all ties as I feel that she is a nasty , opportunistic person who has exploited her children to further her own selfish need for fame and money. I always admired Paula as she earned her place in her career. Kate sold her children for hers.

I love the original Paula Dean cooking show. but why is it that everytime something works, a new program takes off on it - like Paula's Party - I don't like Paula's Party. It's not real enough, it's too put on. I think it's greed. Stick with what works and be happy. Same for Kate's show. When it was good, it was good - but now it's over. Time to stop. I actually think Paula and Kate would make a good team. Both are very personable and up people, for the most part anyway. The public wants that.
