(S06E09) "If that's a personal call you're on Lloyd, I'm gonna waterboard you." - Ari
Ari has always been mean to Lloyd. He treats him like crap, makes him do chores rather than his job, and constantly insults him. However, at the same time, Ari has always been nice to Lloyd too. He's given him one helluva job opportunity to learn underneath him and to some extent, I can understand Ari's plan to toughen Lloyd up a bit before a bump to junior agent occurs.
We know what Lloyd is like though -- he can only take so much. So it was only a matter of time before Ari pushed too hard. On a day when Ari stole Zac Efron from Adam Davies, there should have been a celebration and instead, Ari treated Lloyd worse that we've seen in ages. It's about time this plot went somewhere.
An eye for an eye has always been the M.O. when it comes to feuding between Ari and Adam -- all the way back to their days at Terrence's agency. I always assumed Lloyd would become an agent. I actually thought it would have made a great story to see Lloyd move up at Miller/Gold and start to pick off Ari's clients. He still can though, assuming he takes Adam's job offer. Seeing as how he abandoned Ari, and his car, it's probably safe to assume that Lloyd now has a new boss.I'm less excited about seeing Lloyd at the new gig (you know he'll do well), and more excited to see Ari attempt to function without him. Ari has said it a million times -- Lloyd is the best assistant he's ever had and Andrew warned Ari about that too. If he didn't make it happen for him, someone else would.
As for Vince's stalker, this was fairly predictable. Initially, I had thought that perhaps Aaron and his goons had planted that Curtis guy's license. Finding out that he worked at a furniture store and lost the ID in a couch that Vince bought achieved the same outcome though. He was never in the house.
However, I love the idea of sorority girls being sent there during rush week to steal Jamie-Lynn Sigler's boyfriend's underwear. Great story for Turtle. Of course, this does pose a problem for him and Jamie-Lynn, because that Brooke girl seemed to really like him and let's be honest... Turtle can be pretty weak when it comes to that stuff.
A few more thoughts...
- Anyone else notice that Drama brought back multiple bags from the sex shop?
- And speaking of Drama, I was hoping for a way more humiliating plot for him on Five Towns. Battery acid in the face? I'm confused though... won't his character have that scar permanently? He didn't act like he would.
- Has Vince ever brought a woman home and not slept with her? I can't recall one.
Eric should start practicing the Vincent Chase method of dating -- one and done. Why you ask? As if we didn't know already, Ashley is nuts. Checking Eric's phone and hanging out at his office and worrying about Eric's assistant? Keep Aaron and his goons around -- she might as well be a stalker.

not a lot really happened for a season finale, other than the lloyd/ari dispute. Same with the season finale of Hung - didn't feel like a season finale.

That could be, because it wasn't the season finale. We have three more episodes to go. Episode 12, "Give a Little Bit" should be the finale ;)

It was the Season Finale of Hung and Trueblood. I think they are trying to pair "bored to Death" with "Entourage" so that is why they pushed the Season Finale out a bit.
