(S11E28) They say to "expect the unexpected" on Big Brother 11. Well, tonight showed that the viewers can expect an unexpected scheduling of events. Here I was expecting to see the hamsters dwindled down to two tonight. But that wasn't to be the case. However, I did expect Kevin to dress up all spiffy and funky. Sure enough, he did. He had matching red sneakers to complete the outfit.
They've discombobulated the entire finale schedule. So we only saw the completion of the first part of the final three-part HOH and the second part in its entirety. The Sunday show will be "hilarious unseen before clips." Then on Tuesday, it's a two-hour season finale. On Tuesday, the final part of the final HOH comp is live, the evicted joins the jury immediately, and America gets a vote, too. They gave the text message information on the show, but voting online at the CBS website is free.
I found this episode to be rewarding. You see, I don't like Natalie. I begrudgingly admit that she's played a good strategic game. But I find her to be a very mean-spirited person. She talks like a robot and lies like a rug -- a mean nasty little rug. Tonight I got to see some comeuppance. I feel a bit better about investing my summer into the show.
The log-rolling first part of the competition seems like so long ago, but it was just the other day. Jordan hung in there for three and a half hours, then slipped. That put things in place for Kevin and Natalie's latest scheme -- Natalie would throw the comp to Kevin so she would go up against Jordan in the second part. She's oh-so-sure she can beat Jordan. Then the final part of the comp would be Kevin and Natalie.
Heh. It didn't quite work out that way. Oh, she threw the first part to Kevin, all right. But Jordan absolutely blew her away in the second part of the comp! For all of her bravado, she IS riding coattails and letting others do her dirty work. That can do a hamster well for a while. But it gets to a point where it backfires or everyone catches on. In Natalie's case, it's a bit of both.
- The jury house seems totally against Natalie now for the coattail riding and the age lie.
- Kevin seems to have had a turning point with her dating back to the first Pandora's Box when she didn't try to help him and went after the money instead.
Tonight's previous final three guests -- Evel Dick, Danielle (not to be confused with Daniele, Dick's daughter), Janelle, and Mike Boogie (ew!) -- all seem to think Kevin will most likely win, although they all said Natalie played the best game. Of course, they said this before Jordan blew away Natalie in the second part of the comp. Oh, I really should happy-dance for just a bit.
Big Brother's change of the finale schedule gets kudos from me. As a live feeds watcher, it never made sense having the final two in the house alone from Thursday night until Tuesday. At that point, all is up to the jury and there is no game play. It's boring!

I will never understand the hate for Michele in this game... she did nothing nearly as disgusting as Natalie or any other random player you could name. I would be fine with her winning the consolation prize, or Ronnie for that matter. I feel they were both treated extremely unfairly, and they deserve a prize for having to put up with those horrible people.
I expect Kevin to win the final HOH, but I sincerely hope Jordan wins the game, even if it's by a single vote (America's Vote).

For Jordan to win she has to hand $50,000 to Natalie... As much as I want Jordo to win, I'd rather see Natalie with a lump of coal... So, I hope Kevin goes with Jordan to the end... but she will lose that fight.

I loved Julie cutting Natalie off. Natalie was like "I can do a physical competition but this was a mental competition and I---" Julie: "Actually it was both. Thanks Natalie."
Of course, Natalie started making excuses about how she didn't accommodate for getting Michelle in the wrong hole. She's right, she didn't, and Jordan did compensate for the one she got wrong, which is why Jordan won. I think Natalie still would have lost, because she would have missed two. It's like she was complaining "the only reason I lost was because I didn't do well." Yeah, that's the point, the player who does better wins.

One rules question that occurred to me last night while watching: What would have happened if they both used the whole time and both got the same number right?
The tie-breaker was about the time... but they both very easily could've run out of time before completing all 10 balls... So, what would they have done if they both exceeded the time and both had, say, 7 points?
Seemed like a pretty ill designed game... they lucked out in prodcution on that one, I think.

I am thrilled that Jordan won last night AND knocked Nat's socks off while doing so. It was great to see some of that cockiness wiped off of Natalie's face. Her excuses were pitiful. Hope that Kevin sticks to his DR plans, too, and takes Jordan with him if he wins part3. Even if Jordo only gets the fifty thou, it would be lovely to see Natalie end up with nada.

Also want to mention that Jordan showed a lot of class with her win compared to Natalie's distasteful blowing of her own horn when she did.

Loved loved loved that Jordan won. The expression on Natalies face was PRICELESS. She was so sure that she was gonna beat Jordan, and to be honest when I saw the comp I thought so to. Good thing that I was wrong. I was cheering Jordan on the whole time she was going through that game and thought it was awesome that she not only won but blew Natalie out of the water. I also thought it was funny that you didn't hear the studio audience at all when Natalie was going but when it was Jordan's turn the whole studio audience was cheering her on, you can tell that no one is a Natalie fan, even Julie

No, Natalie, you lost because Jordon WON! Oh yeah, those was a sweet few moments in the game, weren't they? I could replay all of that (including Julie cutting Natalie off) over and over ... and I have!
Tuesday is going to be Jordon's night to shine, I think. Hoping for a Jordon an Kevin final 2. Isn't everyone?
