After being suspended by both CBS Radio and MSNBC two years ago over some derogatory on air comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team, Don Imus will once again enjoy a television presence (having already regained a radio presence) on the Fox Business Network.
Granted, the whole controversy around his statements from two years ago was a little overblown. Other shock jocks have made far worse statements on the air with much less in the way of media attention. That sort of language is business as usual for them.
The question is this; what does Don Imus have to do with business? He's not exactly Warren Buffett. He's not even Jim Cramer. Mind you, his previous television show was on MSNBC, which is also a business network [update: MSNBC is not a business network. I confused it for CNBC. My apologies]. At most this can be taken as a switch of political affiliation.
So what do you think? Will you be watching Don Imus on his new show?

CNBC is a business network. (At least during the day.)
MSNBC is a news network. Granted, Imus wasn't a fantastic fit there either, but I suppose he talked about politics every so often.

Fortunately, my cable system puts Fox Business on a tier that I have to pay extra for. Which I don't. So there's no chance that I'll even accidentally stumble across Imus or any of the other comedy programs FBN has to offer.

I realize this is probably news since it's such a bitty little channel, but Imus's radio show was simulcast on RFD-TV from Dec. 3, 2007 to Aug. 28th of this year, so he actually spent very little time whatsoever off video.
(No, I wasn't a watcher, but I did occasionally see the listings on the way to other places and looked up the exact dates.)

I'm cool with Imus, but I do think its weird he's on FBN since he leans way more left than everyone on Fox. But from what I hear FBN stinks, so they're doing whatever to get some ratings.

Never mind, JH333 did such an excellent job of slamming you off the internet, only a masochist would want to come back. Of course, that could mean you.

I am going to miss Alexis Glick in the morning. Looks like I will be staying on CNBC as I get my morning headlines before the trading day.

Plus, Imus has been on TV almost continually since he was fired. He was on RFD-TV, a satelite network. Jeez, do your homework.

Whatever works for Imus, works for me ! I've been with him for more than 30 years and no harm has come to me , or Him ! If I need any "hard news" ( whatver that is today; No offense to all the all News-Bunnies, and you know who you are on CNBC, Fox, et al. they are a dime a dozen), I can go to 1010 Wins or CBS. com. "CNBC...morning headlines, before the trading day" you must have made a bundle listening to that crew in the last year ! Yeh, stay with them, good plan!

I have been an Imus Fan since the early 70's radio. I have really enjoyed some aspects and sayings and DESPISED others. Imus is a Devoult Racist this is TRUE. But what great blues he played on his TV show, that's why I tuned in. As for HIS racist remarks on "air" they are just as RACIST when spoken by Chris Rock.

I often disagreed with Imus, but I found him (and his other on-air co-harts) to be the most entertaining thing on radio. I also watched when I could on TV broadcast at the same time, but usually I listened to him driving to work. I will certainly watch him as I haven't been able to hear nor watch him for the past 2 years.
