Remember Charlie, the cute and spunky waitress who stole Hiro's heart in the first season of Heroes? (They even released a novel about their short-lived relationship.) Well, she's coming back to the show next season, but reportedly only for one episode. Glee's Jayma Mays will reprise her role as the Texas waitress with an enhanced memory when a dying Hiro takes a trip back in time to finish off his bucket list. Fans will remember that Charlie met her end thanks to Sylar only a few eps after she first appeared on the show. Hiro tried to save her, but he was unable to change her fate. It's doubtful he'll be able to save her this time, since Mays is only slated to return for one episode, and the actress will be pretty busy this fall with her role on Fox's Glee.
But what does this mean for our super-powered pal, Hiro Nakamura? Does all this bucket list talk mean he's gonna get killed off? Is Masi Oka leaving the show? If he does, will you still watch? I'll keep tuning in, mainly because the show has become such a cheap guilty pleasure for me.
Heroes returns to NBC on Sept. 21.

One thing that Heroes has been bad with is keeping new characters that people dislike, while killing off the fan favorites too quicky.
They kept Maya way too long, yet killed (or written out) St. Joan, Charlie, Adam Monroe, Elle and Daphne. And judging by the trailer for Redemption, they are about to rid us of the most interesting new character from last season, Danko.
Heroes was supposed to have a revolving door of characters, to maintain fan interest and keep costs down.

That would be nice. I think she was season 1 character meaning her time spent on the show was useful.

I don't think it is a spoiler. remember Hiro was suffering from the nose bleeds and passing out at the end of last season. Didn't Mohinder tell him he needed to stop using his powers or he could die?

Yeah, he was already "dying" last season.

Heroes without Hiro is not worth the effort. The last season was bad in part because Hiro was powerless and completely uninteresting. Season 1 promised us a badass, power-and-ninja-sword-wielding Hiro. Take us there.
