Big Brother 11: HoH #8 conclusion, Nominations #8

Jordan confronts Russell on Big Brother 11
(S11E20) After the recent excitement in the Big Brother 11 house, I'm spoiled. I want every episode to be a Chima meltdown. I want the producer's voice to come over the intercoms of the house and yell at bad hamsters. I want brouhahas and perhaps even fisticuffs. No, I don't anyone to get hurt -- I just want my excitement fix from the episodes. What did I get tonight?

I'm not sure what I got. I know I didn't get what I wanted. To be fair, the head of household competition completion held some interest. Was it geared to Jeff's long arms? Or was it geared to Natalie and Kevin's small hands? To burst the suspicion bubble, I'd say none of the above. The comps are planned out and approved long before the season starts.

Kevin really wanted the win. Natalie did, too. But her almost robot-like diary room narratives tend to turn me off to anything she might really deem important. It's like she's reading from a script in a monotone voice. I think the only time we saw emotion from her in the diary room was after her phone call from her father. Needless to say, small hands didn't help her.

What helped Jeff to win HOH was Kevin pausing Russell, the thumping crazed maniac can retriever. Sure, Russell made a smart move pausing Kevin when Kevin was in the lead. But meanwhile, no one saw Jeff's game dramatically improve as he went for the win. And, then poor Russell not only lost, but he's a Have Not with Michele this week. He hasn't been one yet this season. It's time! At least they have churros and chitlins to go with their slop.

Then we went into never-ending filler fodder. About the only bit crucial to the show was to do with Kevin and Natalie's plans to befriend Jordan and Jeff while throwing suspicion upon the motives of Russell and Michele, Russell in particular. What Kevin and Natalie don't know is that their lie to Jeff and Jordan is actually reality for Michele and Russell.

So, Jeff enters a final four deal with Kevin and Natalie not knowing if he'll stick to the deal or not. Jordan trusts Natalie (sigh) and wants Russell out. Jeff has deep suspicions about the loyalty of Russell and Michele. Heck, Russell thinks Russell should be on the block.

Instead of Russell on the block, Jeff told Natalie and Kevin he'd be putting them up as pawns with the plan being to backdoor Russell. And that's exactly went down. Natalie and Kevin are on the block, both hoping Jeff has fallen for them hook, line, and sinker. I fear he has.

In a way, I feel Russell needs to go. He always stands the chance of winning a physical comp. If he gets to the final three, he could dominate the endurance part. Is he more dangerous than Natalie and Kevin? I think Natalie is only dangerous if she manages to make it to the final two. She has some votes sitting in the jury house already. But she hasn't won a single comp all season despite her big tough talk. Kevin is more of a threat. He actually wins or gets close to winning comps. At the end of the day, Jeff and Jordan can only trust each other.

Should Jeff backdoor Russell?
