Even though the sudden pull out from several sponsors hasn't caused Fox to prematurely eject Glenn Beck from his time slot, he was suspiciously absent from the airwaves this week. Some suggest this Beck-free week wasn't just a much needed vacation for the host, or for the viewer for that matter.
TVNewser spoke to some Fox insiders who claim the network ordered the silver haired devil to take a week off so some of the heat over his advertising boycott could die down.
Even though the network has made denial after denial that the ad boycott has affected their revenue, the insiders told the blog that Fox has never dealt with a boycott of this magnitude, if at all. But will it even affect the network or Beck and his ilk? Not likely. It would take a near divine miracle to get headline making newsmen like Beck, Sean Hannity, the Fox and Friends cluster#*$&, and Bill "Papa Bear" O'Reilly off the air. And I wouldn't be surprised if Rupert Murdoch has God on his payroll.
Of course, the network and Beck's personal people denied that he was ordered to step back from the anchor chair until his case of the crazies wore off. Beck's personal publicist Matthew Hiltzik provided the Newser blog with an email dated July 14th announcing Beck's vacation. Hiltzik also personally told the blog that he thought it was "sad and disappointing ... that someone continues to peddle this completely bogus story." I'll bet Hiltzik feels weird saying that statement instead of hearing it in an angry email for a change.

This is one of the worst rumors I have seen float by.
Everyone who reads this garbage should realize that this week is one that MANY MANY political pundits from Limbaugh to Matthews take off.
Its the last couple of weeks in the congressional break before congress goes back to work, and a slow period for politics.
Its the perfect time to take off a summer vacation.
But, don't let that fact get in the way of some ignorant Beck hatred.

Unfortunately, Fox will not fire these bigots/racist/lie instigators.
Happy to see advertisers boycotting.
Surprisely, I didn't hear from Naacp, Jessie or Al.

Rehashing this false rumor lowers you to the level of the fellow who released video of the already disproven Kenyan birth certificate.
Proof that you don't have to be able to THINK to write a blog.
Sad.

Well, I detest Beck and am glad that at least there is SOME fallout for one of his ridiculous statements but this whole forced leave is unlikely and very silly. This period really is when allot, if not most, shows take a break and I am sure that he is simply taking his.
This does not mean that the timing isn't fortuitous to let things cool off for a bit, but I doubt there is anything more than that.

GO FOX NEWS. at least they give both sides of the story unlike MSNBC & CNN. I read where they said one of the advertisers to pull commercials was Walmart. I find that hard to believe because I just got back from one & they were selling all 3 of his books. Also if you were an loyal viewer of Beck's then you would know he was on vacation & had been talking about it for weeks-before this "whole mess" began. He has said nothing that cannot be proved, just read Obama's books,& that scares the liberal media.why hasnt people called for boycotting of MSNBC after all the racist things Jeanne Garafolo(sp?) said, but no that is ok because it was toward the right. Again everything Beck said about Obama being a racist can be proved by Obama's own words.

What Fox News Channel are you watching? Fox News never gives both sides of the story! Now before you get all riled up, I don't watch any of the three biggest cable channels because they all skew too far to one particular side. I prefer Bloomberg News Channel.
But it would be insulting to say that MSNBC and CNN are both myopically one sided, and NOT include FOX!! They all need BIG changes!!

Yeah, Fox gives both sides of the story: the facts that fit the right-wing agenda, and the made-up nonsense from the right. Studies actually show that most Fox News viewers are terribly misinformed--like, they believe that the "death panels" are actually part of the proposed health care package.
And as for why no one's boycotting MSNBC for things Janeane Garofolo has said, I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's because Janeane Garofolo doesn't work for MSNBC! She sometimes appears as a guest on their shows, but it's not as though she has a show on the network. Now, what has she said that you think was racist?

Could Beck be anymore whitebread? It's no wonder Utahn's flock to him like he's a divine interpreter.

If Fox is keeping him out of sight until his "case of the crazies" wears off, I'm afraid they'll have an awfully long wait. Becks' mood swings, crying jags, irrational thought processes, paranoia, and erratic behavior aren’t simply minor little quirks that can be cured by a good night’s sleep. We’re in serious Blanche DuBois territory here.

Nothing cracks me up more than read blogs, and watch people get bent out of shape when someone's political tastes start to leak out in their blog post.
I have a important news flash...
It's a feaking blog about tv shows. Wake up! Bloggers don't have to be unbias or balance. I understand that many believe that the internet is serious business.
Please do everyone else a favor (on the right, the left, and/or everyone in between) who can understand, that blogger is a not a huge fan of Glen Beck and/or Fox News, and couldn't care less about it.
Feel free to rage quit this website and the internet, and find another place to complain about the mean, evil, and bias television blog that hurt your fragile political views.

The only reason I would watch Glen Beck is so that I can understand which advertisers I would never buy products from. I have about as much use for Glen Beck as I do the bugger hanging out my nose.

Why all the adverse comments. It's no secret CNN leans left; FOX leans right. Surprise! Surprise! And here we have another moonbat weighing in.
Fair and balanced is rarely heard, from posters, talk hosts, broadcasters, bloggers or commenters.

Why am i essentially being told by TVSquad which comments are valid or not? QUIT graying them out so it's hard to read. This is censorship and is showing that someone out there doesn't want to let everyone speak. I may not agree with every nutter on here but at least i can read their opinions and judge for MYSELF.
PLEASE STOP THE GRAYING OUT OF COMMENTS!!

It has to do with how many people have clicked on the thumbs-up or thumbs-down on the comments. I has nothing to do with TVSquad censoring comments.
