(S11E18) If you're a Big Brother aficionado, this single episode is bound to be one of the biggest classics of the series. I'm talking absolutely brimming with moments which will be referred to for years to come. Remember the classic Dustin face upon eviction? This is better than that. Evel Dick dumping ice tea on Jen? Child's play, I say! For once, the television-show-only viewers get a taste of what the live-feed-watchers have seen this season. It's not pretty. It's actually a rather depressing look at humanity. But it's entertainment.
The show had already planned a double eviction for this Thursday. Now they don't have to worry about going overtime with the live show. One of the hamsters took it on herself to get the eviction going early. I'd say she did it with class, but that was far from the case.
Chima, Natalie, and Lydia don't think it was fair that Jeff was given and used the coup d'etat to get Jessie evicted. I personally feel it was unfair that Jessie was not only back in the house for a second shot, but was given power on a silver platter ... for doing nothing. That set us up for a lopsided start while the cliques bit was already skewing the show. To me, this evened things out a bit.
I just don't know what it's like to be Chima. Sure, I understand she felt betrayed by Michele. I know she thought Michele would do her bidding. I don't know what kind of life Chima has led, in order to believe that she doesn't have to follow rules and that no one can dare challenge her. She's a bit like a female version of Anthony Fremont in an old Twilight Zone episode. I expected her to yell that people were thinking bad thoughts about her and start sending hamsters off to the cornfield.
Instead, she refused to wear her microphone, a violation of the show's rules. When it was brought to her, she chucked it into the hot tub. We're talking a $5,000 piece of equipment. She spent the evening flipping off the producers, fussing, whining, and (of course) being the special snowflake she is. Even Lydia tried to be a voice of reason to no avail. That was scary in and of itself.
Finally, after executive producer Allison Grodner herself called her to the Diary Room, she went. Now, on the Internet, she's claiming she quit. I realize that there might be some editing. She did talk of quitting. But this was more along the lines of "You're fired." She didn't get the time to say, "No! I quit!" She went into the room and Allison told her there was no need to take a seat, there's the door. I'd say she would follow it with "don't let it hit you on the way out," but this has to be a ratings boom for the show. Allison probably appreciates drama.
Then, wham, zham, zing ... Michele's reign as HoH is over and they're ready for a new comp. Miniature golf based, this is the comp in which as each person is eliminated, they get to claim a mystery prize, one of them the HoH key. As people are eliminated, they can swap prizes with those eliminated before them. Lydia and Natalie are still all sulky and fussbudgets, Kevin is a nervous wreck, and the rest of the hamsters are still a bit shell-shocked. Here's what went down in a hurry:
- Lydia was out first, chose the HoH key.
- Natalie out next, chose Hawaiian vacation.
- Russell out, chose phone call from home. He took the Hawaiian vacation, gave her the phone call.
- Kevin out, got $5,000.
- Jeff threw the comp to Jordan, got a spa visit at the BB house. He took Russell's Hawaiian vacation, so Russell gets a massage.
- Jordan got the latest version of the unitard which she swapped with Lydia for the HoH key.

I realize that bad behavior is almost the norm for reality television shows. But this group is going above and beyond. Chima's reaction to the stress shows the girl has issues. Lydia went from the voice of reason with Chima to Chima, Jr., at the comp. She got drunk, was screaming obscenities and totally being a poor sport. That said, it gave Jeff the opportunity for one of his best lines all season -- "Take it easy, Mrs. Roper."
In regard to Natalie, her lie is that she's 18. She can pass for it so well because she acts like some kid from the streets. Alas, out of the three girls, she's the one who's probably the most stable. I feel sorry for Kevin. He thought he set himself up with a solid alliance. Instead, he's in a Hieronmous Bosch painting.
Then it's time for Jordan's nominations. Who else? Natalie and Lydia. Although Lydia is doing a mix of trying to get kicked out and saying she wants to leave, Jordan's target is the better game player -- Natalie. As Jeff says, "Lydia is broken." And now, Chima is closed.

Why would it be wrong for Jeff to use the power. Its a game. He made a strategic move to neutralize one of the stronger players would be a threat later on. Jeff was very smart about the power, and he would have been a moron not to use it. Nothing is fair in BB, so people have to make the best of what they get and Jeff did that. More power to him.
I awwed so much when Jeff gave Jordan the comp. He asked if she wanted it and when she said, she did, he threw the comp for her. It was so sweet.
Though the best moment was when Lydia said to send her out this week Jeff was like "You aren't going anywhere, get comfy cause you're gonna be here a while." LOL. That was hysterical.

Those girls are all so childish. Getting mad because the others are playing the game and now they have to worry then dumping their beer and throwing away their food, that was just childish. Lydia went from being the voice of reason one minute to a Chima reincarnate the next. The only person to blame is Chima for her actions not Michelle like Nastalie was doing, and Lydia has no reason to be mad at any of them. They never did anything to her aside from get her off the block. I loved Jeff and Jordan in this episode though, those two are so cute. Jordan is such a sweet girl sharing a room with her mom I really hope she wins now I think she could actually use it the most of everyone in the game. My favorite lines of the night were all from Jeff. Calling Lydia Mrs. Roper and then telling her she's not going home lol Jeff is definitely my favorite but Jordan is a very close second. I also liked how Nastalie was trying to play it off that Chima dropped her mic by accident. Did she really think none of the producers were gonna catch that with all the cameras? And if I'm not mistaken didn't she mention something about how she was running the house until now when she never won an HOH or POV comp? I really hope her time has come because I want to hear Jeff trash talk Lydia ever so subtly some more. Best episode of the season so far hands down.

Has there been any news on whether the jury house will have only six residents (risking a tie in the season finale)and, if not, how they'll get the number back up to seven?

Maybe by getting Ronnie in there.

Currently, the speculation is that they will balance things out by making the tie-breaking vote America's Choice. It's believed they won't allow Ronnie to be in the jury, because he wasn't sequestered (and in recent seasons, they sequester all jury members to prevent them from seeing the full version of the shows, with diary rooms, to avoid letting these private glimpses at the house influence them.)

Is is just me, or is it obvious Lydia abruptly started showing her ass so that she can get some 1 on 1 time with Jessie in the Jury house. As this point, Lydia realizes that she doesn't have a chance of winning.

I think I saw more poor sportsmanship in that hour than I've seen in all the seasons of Big Brother that I've watched put together. It's what makes me love and hate BB all at the same time.

I also thought it funny that after blaming Michele for Chima's downfall, after Chima had befriended her, moments later Natalie blurted out in anger that Michele was slated (by them) to be next out of the house. How does Jesse's harem keep a straight face with all their lies?

This is by far the craziest season yet. What are the odds BB 11 would get so many pshycos (Except for Jeff,Jordan and Michelle) in one house. BB should have put in a full time shrink!! Jeff, like my son, is a true gentleman. His parent's should be very proud of him. The other houseguests should take a lesson on what true class is, but then it would have been boring....LOL!

Did anyone else catch Natalie saying that she wanted "vindiction" for the eviction of Jessie? Heh. I thought she was such a smart feller, you think she would know the difference between a made up word and what she really wants, vindication.

Natalie didn't want "vindiction", or vindication. She wants vengeance! Different word, different root.

The Mrs. Roper comment was definitely the best one of the night - I am laughing thinking about it still. And as far as Natalie goes, she may be 24 pretending to be 18, but she acts like she's 12 most of the time. Vindiction....good word, and she is a college graduate..yikes.
I really expected there to be more drama with the Chima expulsion, the self destructing houseguest must have been Lydia. But after watching the feeds on Showtime, they are all like one big happy family again.

I thought last night's episode was amazing and Chima can claim all she wants that she quit but the truth is she was sent packing by the producers. Everything was all well in good when she was living in the HOH room for the first four week's of the show. Once she was without power, she self-destructed. She couldn't stand the thought of them voting her out.
I think Jeff is an amazing individual. He's handled himself with such a positive attitude throughout this entire show. I watch the live feeds and you can't even imagine all he does to keep spirits high.
When he told Lydia to get comfy last night because she was staying, I couldn't stop laughing. My main concern right now is Russell because he's so paranoid. I really want him out of the house because he can't be trusted. Jeff saves him from eviction and he thanks Jeff by voting for Jessie to stay in the house. If this had happened, Russell and Jessie would have gotten Jeff out of the house.
It's really been a season of a bunch of psychos. I think they need to change the psychological testing they do prior to allowing these people to be on the air. But, now that I think of it, perhaps some of the people have to "fail" the testing in order to make it on the show because it makes for better TV.
One thing I do hope is that Chima, the strong woman (lol), is reading all of this and knows that she is not the classy, strong woman she thinks she is.

Anyone who associates with that evil slimeball Russell paints themselves as an evil slimeball. Conspiring to keep that slimeball in the house was a straw that would have broken much stronger backs than those poor ladies. Now we have to put up with the evil slimeball alliance...

I think Russell or Jeff should have told Lydia that she is staying so Natalie can go and be alone with Jesse. That would have really pissed off Lydia.

Yes Jackie you are right, this is most likely the best episode of the series. All in all the show was actually alot kinder to Chima than they could have been. They didn't even show her taking the other houseguests personal belongings and hiding them, including Russell's rosary. How are you gonna call someone else a terrorist when your stealing people's personal and religious belongings, ridiculous. If Jeff wasn't already my favorite hamster before this episode he would be now. All his comments to Lydia were awesome and also how he defended Jordan when Lydi-ho called Jordan a dumb ho. Pot meet kettle.

I honestly can't believe the childish behavior that has gone on all because Jeff used the power that eliminated one of the "strongest" competitors which benifets everyone! Had Jessie won and used the power I'm sure there would'nt have been such a poor response. Jessie along with his girls continue to bash America for getting him evicted when that's not even what America was given the choice to do, although I'm sure if given the opportunity we would definetly would have voted that arrogant a-hole out!!

I'm very close to agreeing with you, but I'm remembering an episode from the season where Kaysar and Janelle were in an alliance and how they took "Cappy" down. Loved that season and those two players in particular. I also recall the season where Nikomas brought down the "Four Horseman" clique with brilliant and cunning stealth. But aside from those two high points, yeah, last night's ep was right up there. An instant BB classic!
