For those of you that have been annoyed with Hulu's ABC offerings since the alphabet company's parent Disney became a stake-holder in the online video service, here's a bit of good news:
Almost every episode of Lost is now available to stream online.
Up until now, only the first season and the last five episodes of season five had been uploaded for viewing, but now the list has expanded to include the first four seasons in their entirety. Season five still only has the last five eps available, but that isn't too surprising since the DVD set doesn't come out until December 8th. Hey - you gotta give people at least some reason to buy it I suppose.
I'm curious to know what people think about this though. At this point, Lost has become such a pop culture obsession, that it makes me wonder how many people are still out there and haven't seen at least the first couple of seasons. Any Lost virgins out there with plans to plow through the first four seasons now that it's an option?

Never watched Lost. Only recently thought about it once I heard that Hulu would have the first season available. Lost was one of those shows that I was going to try getting into when the show was in its 3rd season or so, but by that point, wasn't the show losing some of its traction?

I started watching season 4, then went back through and watched the full run twice. I can see how it was said S3 lost traction, but the ending of 4 and 5 just blew up, I think LOST just has a very different story arc, compared to most traditional shows. Either way, I would highly suggest watching it.

I am considered the go-to person when it comes to TV and movies cause I watch pretty much everything. I never watched even a minute of an episode of it, when it debuted I was on a new-show cutoff because it was getting too difficult to watch both DVRs worth of shows & whatever else I was watching live. Now that I know it's on hulu maybe I will check it out online when it's slow at work. I didn't want to pay to watch it because I know that it's cause a ton of aggravation with the people that I know watch it... :)

I never really got into Lost because of other shows being on the same time, but I've always wanted to. This is great news, as I'm in college and was trying to figure out what my show of choice to watch the series of.
If anyone knows, is this only temporary or will I have a good amount of time to catch up?

I remember seeing the posters in the subway stations while I was going to college in NYC. Something seemed interesting, so I taped the pilot. I had no idea the show would be so awesome.
It is the most entertaining and smart shows I've ever seen on TV. The writing is top-notch, as well as the acting, the ideas/themes, the character/story arcs, the mysteries, plot twists.
I highly recommend it.

I watched the first three or four episodes when it started. I stopped because it was one of the most boring things I had ever seen.
I have heard about other's obsession with it. I have heard little plot points here and there. It all sounds ridiculously far-fetched.
If there was only one season to catch up on, maybe. With 5 seasons to see, I don't have that kind of time. So no, I will not be watching.

science fiction is supposed to be far fetched!

Far-fetched? Boring? Are you watching the same show? What would you consider to be exciting? People are obsessed with it because it contains all those elements that attract people - mystery, suspense, sci-fi, horror, character development and imagination. I always enjoy watching reruns on the episode when I happen upon them on Scifi or G4. Great show, but I guess not for everyone.

I don't understand how someone could say this show is boring or that a Sci Fi Show is far fetched?? I'm not trying to pick here because everyone has their own options but this is such a rediculous comment that I was blown away by the stupidity of it.
You could say a great show like Mad Men may be boring but Lost? Lost? Really? I don't think we watch the same show!

Not a Lost virgin, but TV was one of the first "luxuries" that had to go when I got laid off a couple years back. Since then, I've been limited to what I can watch online - which is quite a lot actually. Anyway, for me, this is great news. I have a lot of catching up to do, but for the sake of continuity, I'll probably start back at Season 1, ep. 1 - the spectacular premiere episode.
Oh - and now that I'm finally working again, I'm debating whether to go back to TV or not. I'll probably do it for the kids - e.g., the Disney and Nickelodian shows......

We're about to start re-watching the entire run of the series -- one season a month until the Season Six premiere in February. Season One Disc One shipped from Netflix today!

I watched the first season when it aired way back when. Then the second season started answering none of the series questions and I stopped because I felt it would never go anywhere. Then they announced that the show would run for only six seasons and had a definite beginning, middle and end. I then decided to let the show go and try to watch it after it all finished. During that time I have found it hard to avoid major details of the story through overhearing friends talk and whatnot. Once I saw that it was on Hulu and knowing the final season was coming I decided to rewatch season 1 on Hulu so I could begin to catch up. Needless to say I got addicted and started powering through it and tried to look for details on when more seasons would release on Hulu but as always they never release those details, so I signed up for a Netflix two week trial knowing I could watch streaming on there. I find Netflix's streaming detestable because I hate silverlight and it never works good even with a solid connection but I wanted to see what happened next so badly. Now I am almost finished with season four and of course they put all the seasons up on hulu. At least I will get to watch a few more episodes via hulu instead of Netflix. Now I have to find season five somewhere on the net to catch up before season six starts so I can watch it live.

I was totally a lost virgin up until a week ago. I had never seen an episode, didn't even know that the whole thing involved a plane crash. Now I'm up to episode 10 or 11 in the first season and totally addicted! It's a bit overwhelming to realize how many episodes are out there; I get a bit obsessed and have been watching several a night.
