The problem with reporting real news originating in the professional wrestling world is that you never know if you're being played as part of a story angle designed to drive up ratings or pay-per-view buys. However, since the following hasn't been mentioned on any of World Wrestling Entertainment's television shows, it might be legit.
According to the WWE: "Linda McMahon, CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, is considering a run for the United States Senate representing the state of Connecticut. Should she decide to run, Linda would step down as CEO, and Vince McMahon would assume the duties of CEO in addition to his current position as WWE Chairman."
A congressional run for Linda isn't as ludicrous as you might think. The woman is in charge of a massively successful company. And, after years of staying married to Vince McMahon and his neverending insanity, nothing on the Senate floor would intimidate her.
Let's put it this way: If you live in Connecticut, and you'd like to see Harry Reid put through a table by a stiff chair shot, vote McMahon in 2010.

I definitely think she is tough enough for DC. She is on top of a world dominated by muscle men. If I lived in CT, I would probably vote for her.

Linda McMahon is running for the Unite States Senate – and this time it's personal. Okay, that's a dumb tag line.
Well for her to run for an office in the senate considering that she must let go of her position as CEO of the WWE that must has been a tough decision. She must have been kind influenced by his husbands’ uniquely insane ideas. However, Linda McMahon running for one of the two Connecticut Senate seats, and she is looking to uproot Senator Chris Dodd, who was fingered for favoritism from cronies in the finance industry. Linda is the wife of Vince McMahon, and heretofore she had been the CEO of WWE, the pro-wrestling empire. Vince is assuming her duties along with his as Chairman. She will run as a Republican, but she has donated to causes and candidates of both parties, and she will have fierce competition. However, Linda McMahon is a wealthy woman – she won't need payday cash advance loans for funding.
Anyway, who knows?
