No, I'm not talking about the first Darrin being replaced on Bewitched. I'm talking about real, big controversies that not only affected the TV world, but the real world, as well. AOL has chosen the 20 greatest TV controversies of all-time. Included on the list are the Letterman/Palin battle, the Aqua Teen Hunger Force bomb scare in Boston, the Smothers Brothers political controversy, the quiz show scandals, and a certain nipple that made a cameo appearance at a rather important sporting event.

Back in 1962, ABC had a series called BUS STOP. One episode called "A Lion Walks Among Us", guest-starring Fabian as a charming but violent punk. actually triggered the first big Senate investigation about violence on TV.
I've seen it, and today it would seem slow and very ordinary.

While each incident counted in their top twenty was indeed controversial, there are only about five or six that actually "changed history" and made people of the viewing world think or act differently.
I think the list needs revising or the description of the list needs revising.
If they're going to count cartoons that "make children believe they can do crazy things", why wasn't the biggest influence of all time included? Bugs Bunny.
They also forgot to mention Lucy's trip to the labor and delivery wing and her subsequent move to a single bed. (very controversial both in their day and made a huge leap in the way people viewed entertainment and what they now viewed as acceptable)
